As of today the iPhone 5s is available in another 16 countries such as Turkey, Mexico and India. Just read a tweet about the Turkish delivery time and apparently the phones will ship in merely 5-7 business days. I can't for the life of me understand how that's possible considering the fact that the estimated time of delivery still is 2-3 weeks when ordering from the European Apple Online Stores that launched the iPhone 5s on October 25th.
I ordered an iPhone 5s Space Grey 32 GB from the Swiss Apple Online Store a couple of minutes past 1 AM when it was released on October 25th and I'm still waiting for the order status to change to "Preparing for Shipment".
Does anyone have an idea why the Turkish estimated delivery time is so short?

It's normal, you ordered it two days ago, what are you waiting for? Wait till the week of 15th and it may change to "preparing shipment". Notice that I ordered mine the 25th and I'm in your same state.
Wow damn that's really fast. I ordered on 29th, unlocked model, and not shipped yet. Do they give preferential treatment to carrier customers?
I hope NO, if I notice that Apple is giving preference to the carriers, I'd definitely cancel my purchase and f4ck'em. Can't stand companies that treat their clients like stupids...
Not sure but my shipped today I paid the extra $10 2-3 day shipping I'll have it Tuesday
For those in us/uk, on your order, if you had est delivery 2-3 weeks, how long took it for it to change order status from processing to prepareing/shipping?
We in the second wave put our order on friday 25th, the earliest date is 13th-19th. So on wendsday the order should make progress from just saying prossecing to shipment??

To be said, on the second wave order we all have express delivery for free, its for me atleast.

It's not about the shipping but the status change from processing to shipped.

My earlier date is the 12th and I hope that next week the status changes xDDDD. I'm willing to wait till the last date Apple gave to me, no one more day. If they can't deal that dates, it's their problem... But I'm not willing to wait till December while some carriers are receiving more and more stock.

It's been different for everybody but in my personal experience I ordered 10/30 changed to preparing shipment 10/31 and shipped today 11/1 so not sure

It's not about the shipping but the status change from processing to shipped.
Took 2 days total from processing to shipped hope that helps
Mine arrived despite some "adverse weather conditions" this morning. UPS even called to let me know they were outside, which never usually happens in my apt bldg (we don't have buzzers).

I picked up a silver-white 64GB iPhone 5S today as a walk-in to a Verizon store in Maryland. Got an on the spot $300 trade in for my 16GB iPhone 5.
Otterbox Defender case from old phone works fine, especially since I have no intention of using the fingerprint scanner.
Silver-white was the only color the store had but it's hard to tell what color the phone actually is inside of my black Otterbox.
The 64GB will work for me, because my 11-year-old iPod is on its last legs.

Bought the iPhone 5S 32GB in gold at my local Apple store here in the UK today, they got a huge shipment of them in today with the new iPad Airs, all colours and capacities apart from the 16GB in Gold available. Loving it so far!
