The "I just bought/ordered/shipped/received my new iPhone 6/6 Plus" thread

I really had no desire to upgrade this soon, but some how I ordered an iPhone 6 this (Oct. 5th) afternoon, over the phone via AT&T's Customer Service. The girl that helped me (she was the best Customer Service person I've ever dealt with) said the waiting time until my iPhone would be shipped, has recently gotten better. I should expect it to be shipped in 7-14 days, which is a lot better than the 28-35 days she said it was a day or two ago.

I was able to hold the iPhone 6 yesterday, and I played with the Slow-Mo video. I was amazed, even though there are probably 500 apps that can do the same thing. I had no imterest in making Slow Motion videos until I played with the stock app. I now plan on having an enjoyable time using it.

Also, I always sell my old iPhone model via eBay. I expected to clear $190 after fees, but AT&T is going to buy my iPhone 5 for $200. I did't know they had a Buyback Program, so I wasn't expecting that option or price at all. It was an awesome surprise.

I never had anything ship with TNT before and the tracking number apple provided doesn't seem to work.... Anyone else have their phone ship with TNT too?

At least it's in transit. My Sep 12 6+ order has been 'preparing for shipment' for 7 days now

According to the TNT tracking service, my delivery date got pushed to 10/13 (was the 10/10 before). It's in Zhengzhou right now, hope it doesn't get stuck there for too long.

This is probably a dumb question. But if I reserve something for pickup on the apple website and I put a time, lets say around 8:00-9:00PM, cause I work during the day. Can my girlfriend go anytime earlier if she has time and just tell them she is picking up for me?

I placed 2 orders for the new iPhones on Saturday morning and it says preparing to ship and that I cannot cancel the order. Does that really mean it's ready to ship? It said it won't be available to ship for 7 to 10 days when I ordered. It still says 7 to 10 days. Would be nice if it ships out within the next day or so.

My wife decided she was ready to upgrade on Saturday morning. We stopped into the local Best Buy just after they opened and wouldn't you know they had two 6's in SG. Got one for my self too.

Just received my gold 16gb plus this afternoon! I ordered it on 10/2 through T-Mobile and it came pretty fast! I took the 6 back to get this instead. I am pleased so far!

My apple store is about 70 miles which isn't to bad. My two years was up with Verizon and the Space Grey 128GB was begging me to buy it. Talked with a lady that gave me all the plans available and she was very helpful.

Would have bought it at the Verizon stores, but they had none. Don't be afraid to order online and remember to video yourself opening the box. Use your old phone and if there's a scratch or broken screen, you have the proof. Also video the phone turning on. Good Luck!

After 2 missed delivery dates (10/3 and 10/4) I finally got it today!! So happy with this phone. It's a Verizon iPhone 6 16GB in Space Gray.

UPDATE: I found the answer myself. I went to the ups website and tracked by reference. I put in my phone number, zip code and country and I found two packages in China. One says it should be here on the 14th and the other doesn't have a date yet.

Apple should offer the full iPhone experience where you fly to China, visit the assembly line and leave with your iPhone

Expensive but clearly faster than waiting for my Sep 12 pre-order
