I came from a Note 3. Loved the device but did not like to tinker with it. Just wanted a phone that works. If you have other iDevices at home, you will miss the Apple Ecosystem and how it just works altogether. That was another huge factor for me.

After playing the iStockNow game for a couple of weeks with nothing to show for it in the Central Florida area, I placed my order with Apple's online store for a T-Mobile, Space Gray iPhone 6 Plus with 64 GB on 10/19. The expected delivery date at checkout was between 11/18 and 11/25 with standard shipping. I received a notice this afternoon that my phone had shipped and it's currently in Shanghai with a UPS estimated delivery date of Thursday, 11/6! 
I'm glad I held off on buying a model/storage option I didn't want or risk dinging my credit by purchasing a phone on contract and then immediately canceling the contract just to have it "quicker"! Hopefully this is a sign that the 6 Plus production is improving and we'll all get our phones soon!

My T-mobile iPhone 6 Silver 16GB just shipped yesterday and UPS is showing delivery as Monday!
Just ordered a 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey for AT&T. Have been waiting for Apple to come out with a bigger phone and they finally have. I always said I'd make the jump back in once that happened. Haven't had an iPhone since the 4.
Thinking I should have waited and got the 128GB but found such a good deal on it that I couldn't pass it up. Phone should be here sometime next week!

Just Got my New Baby
Just got my new 128GB Grey Plus! It's gorgeous. I upgraded from the 5S, and the massive screen is absolutely stunning! Perfect really
Funny story about how I got it though, I ended up getting it brand new off of Kijiji, and I paid almost exactly what it was at the Apple Store.

Funny story how I got it. I have been looking at http://www.istocknow.com/ with my setting set to my carrier size and no color requirement.. Then randomly I saw the red turn to green on my local Apple store. I clicked it, and added it to a cart but it wouldn't do my upgrade for some reason. Called Apple and the guy said indeed the store had one but it showed as missing, likely bc it was in my cart. But that also meant none else online could see it until my cart timed out. So I just took a shot and drove to the store..refreshing the browser on my phone along the way. Sure enough..they still had the one phone.
Pumped!

I switched last December from an iPhone 4s to the Galaxy s4. BIGGEST mistake ever. E.V.E.R. I've had nothing but trouble with it. Had to replace the battery twice and, as you noted, missed the apple ecosystem big time.
My 6+ ships tomorrow and should be here by Wednesday.

Just got my iPhone 6 about 3.5hours ago. Best iPhone yet. While I was preparing my iPhone 5c for my dad I IMMEDIATELY noticed my 5c felt way to small....it was strange because the 6 is still a tad bigger than I can comfortably one hand but at the same time its great. Anyways screen hasn't been touched and I threw it right into my new case

Yup Erica76 is correct! Its an awesome case. The built in screen protector is IMO resiliant to dirt and the back plastic protector shows off the color of the back of the phone while protecting it. Allot of people have commented on it and how much more pleasant it is to hold the phone.

My phone got a departure scan from Anchorage, AK but no info after that. My last update was Friday night.
same here. it seems to update only when it departs from a city. Tonight it should update as arrival scan and departure scan for KY then Tuesday: Arrival then Out for Delivery!

Anyone got a iOS 8.1 in their brand new device? I'm getting mine theoretically on the 12th-17th and would be great to be able to jailbreak it.
Pretty sure most will be on 8.0.1. But regardless, you should be able to JB. I doubt 8.1.1 is going to be released before you get yours
New to MacRumors here. I ordered my iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Gray on 10/29. AT&T emailed me saying that my phone is expected to ship between 12/9 and 12/18. That puts me possibly not receiving mine until after Christmas! And it was ordered in October. I've been told that its the most popular one being ordered right now. I had thought by waiting until after the rush that the ship times would have been better. Dumb me. Anyone thinking I may get mine shipped sooner or am I pretty much screwed here?
I would honestly check out your local apple store and try to get it there. I ordered mine through Verizon on 11/2 and my expected ship date is 11/21. I'm not getting my hopes up though, with the things I've heard. But like I was saying, three of the Apple stores in my area just received shipments on all the + models. If you want it now, it might be best to cancel your order and pick one up in store. Sadly I can't do that myself due to parental issues lol.
I received my 6+ during the UPS estimated delivery date of Nov. 4. Apple's earliest delivery time was the 6th so it was smart on Apple to under estimate the date. Guess they don't want millions of people calling to ask where their iPhone 6 is. 5 business days to get to the North East from China.
I just checked the UPS tracking and I think it's hilarious the UPS driver wrote in the LEFT AT: 'met customer woman' !

The plus is worth the wait! It's just the right size when I do not feel like whipping out my iPad mini in public. I'm already acclimated to using it two handed so I do not drop it. Knock on wood. I even like my cheapo $6 eBay cover I bought ahead of time until an awesome plus case comes out that fits my needs. Glad I ended up getting one that covered the buttons, since they're larger now and seem more prone to getting damaged vs the 5s. UPDATE: It cost $16 now. One may find a similar one from a different vendor on ebay. If you want thin and clear with out getting a hard plastic, it could be worth it. The cut outs for the speaker and silent button are 100% accurate.
