I looked up my packages reference number. You can either do:

If your order number is W115143163 look up by searching W1151431

If your phone number is (949) 123-4567 look up by searching 9491234567

The phone number is not the phone number of the iPhone you are upgrading or extending the contract. It is the phone number that apple has listed in your Order Status page. Look to the left where it says "Ships To" to find out what phone number to search for.

Make sure your iPhone has shown up in the supportprofile.apple.com before wasting time searching for it. It took my iPhone about 12 hours to go from showing up in the Support Profile, to being able to search in UPS by reference.

Yeah so to further complicate this, I cannot look mine up by shortened order number and my phone number is the one I am upgrading (my billing number) and not my shipping phone number listed on the order.

Maybe try both? I bought mine from the Apple Store via the app.

What a difference a day makes.

Ordered my 64GB Gold 6, on the 13th. Still the same result as last year. No new iPhone for me, until the middle of October.:(:(:(

Damn you, indecisiveness!!!

I was worried my date would be pushed back that far too! i ordered 15 hours after pre-orders began but still have a date of Friday! YAY! I hope yours moves up!

Well the charge finally posted on my card, as well as I've had the serial number for a few days now.

Still in preparing for shipment, and does not come up at all on ups no matter what. Now to just sit back and wait, I have faith they will deliver it between 19/9 and 23/9 :D

I sure hope so. You would think that Apple learned something from last year.

The good news is they're still giving new orders a 3-4 week estimate. Maybe there's reason to be hopeful!

For those of you whos phones are coming from china via UPS, does your delivery method say something like worldwide saver?

For those of you whos phones are coming from within the US, does it say next day air saver?

Mine says UPS Next Day Air Saver®

Ordered iPhone 6 gold on 7:30am 9/12/2014.
Schedule Delivery 9/19/14.

Just used my phone number in shipment reference in UPS.com and get my tracking number. My iPhone 6 is now in ZhengZhou, China. Looks like to arrive on time.

Apple.com remain showing "Preparing for shipment".

Do you have a tracking number with informational updates from UPS showing movement? Is it coming from China or US?

It still says "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" via the tracking number I got using the Track by Reference feature. The UPS mobile app says that mine will be coming from PA, but it's probably still in China at this point.

Can't wait to see this thread on Thursday! Lol
Everyone waiting for tracking numbers and shipping confirmation, just be patient. Shouldn't be anything to worry about. Apples only processing the record for preorders so you should expect some delays. Trust your delivery date and enjoy the build up! :apple:

Hadn't tried the app so I just downloaded it and it shows it's coming from Tennessee. Sweet! No movement yet and wouldn't expect any yet but neat to know!

Found my tracking number on ups by looking up my phone number. Hasn't left yet but a label was created on the 15th and it's coming from Mt Juliet, TN via next day air saver. I got 64gb silver 6 on att via the Apple Store app.

Just got my tracking number! I ordered from Verizon as they were the only website I could reach due to Apple being down. No UPS status updates other then: "Order processed: Ready for UPS". Launch day delivery here I come! (Unless UPS messes up). Reading these posts has kept me hopeful these last few days. The fact that I ordered an hour after preordered started and never got a confirmation email (looking at you Google) I kept telling myself that I would have to prepare for the fact that I might not get it on launch day.

To all those still waiting: Don't worry, your tracking number will come. If they push your date back, you can always try your luck in-store on Friday.

iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB, Silver, Verizon
Ordered from Verizon Preorder at 1AM Pacific (1 hour after opening)
Order processing mid-afternoon 9/15
Order charged late evening 9/15
Tracking number received early morning 9/16
Deliver date on Confirmation page: 9/19
Confirmation email (supposedly, never received): 9/19
Expected delivery via UPS: 9/19 by EOB

Those of us with in store pick up scheduled for Friday continue to patiently wait to be moved beyond "processing". The rest of you are having all of the fun!
