Oh okay. Unfortunately, I don't really have much to complain about (except that I can't find my phone via ups/supportprofile) so I don't think I'd get very far just asking for a free case xP

I am on the same boat as you. Ordered from the iPad app a little after 3am with no issue. My bank account was charged almost instantly and it's been Preparing for Shipment for a few days now. It still isn't showing up on my support profile or through UPS/FedEx using a reference number. Mine is from Verizon though (6+ 64GB Gold)

I ordered my phone from Apple's app and got my confirmation email at 3:25 EST on the 12th. My status changed from processing to Preparing for Shipment on Saturday night and it's stayed there.....no phone in my profile yet and I tried the reference tracking for UPS - it found "something" but no tracking number yet.....I keep refreshing the pages like mad woman only to see the same thing....but I called Apple yesterday and they told me my phone would be delivered on the 19th and I probably wouldn't see a change on my order status again until Wednesday or Thursday.....grrrr:mad:

There's nothing to be frustrated about. Pretty much nobody's Apple Store page has changed from "Preparing for Shipment" to "Shipped." People are only finding tracking information by using their cell phone numbers as reference numbers using UPS My Choice.

As long as your phone says it's scheduled to deliver on the 19th, there's no need to flood the already-busy Apple customer service lines.

I agree in that we don't need to contact Apple over this....but it is just a little exciting finding out the shipping info! We just have to be patient, I guess.
 
It is the same weight as the phone. And I didn't order a case. Maybe I got a twofer; I certainly wasn't charged twice! ;)

Will be interesting to see come Friday :)

On a side note, has anyone else who ordered the phone from Apple Canada actually received a tracking number yet? My case now has a tracking number, but my phone is still MIA at the moment.
 
I've had an interesting journey toward my iPhone 6. Was up at 3 a.m. Friday morning. I wanted a 6 Plus, even though it was probably too big for my hand, but by the time the Apple Store app started selling the phones, the 6 Plus was sold out and the only Sprint version of the 6 that was available to buy was the 16 GB silver model. I pre-ordered that because I'm impatient and didn't want to wait weeks for an iPhone, even if it meant getting a model I didn't want. I could always try taking it back within 14 days for a different model.

Then, about a half hour later, every model of the 6 was available. I couldn't order the 64 GB Space Gray version of the 6, which was originally the amount of storage and color I wanted, because I had already used my upgrade on the 16 GB Silver model and the Apple Store website kept displaying an error when I tried to cancel it. Plus, Apple had already taken the full amount of the 16 GB iPhone 6 out of my bank account.

I decided to go to sleep and would try again later Friday, assuming traffic to the Apple Store's website would slow down. No dice. Kept getting the error message when I tried to cancel the order until it FINALLY worked after refreshing the "Cancel" link every few seconds.

I then ordered the 64 GB Space Gray iPhone 6. Thought it went through, but when I checked my order status a few hours later, it said my payment was declined. Called my bank. The payment was blocked as fraudulent. (Same thing happened when I ordered my MacBook Pro a few months ago.)

Called my bank and got that cleared up. Tried to run the payment again on the Apple Store website, and surprise ... kept getting the same error message I got when I tried to cancel the 16 GB Silver model.

After sneaking out of the office to call Apple and being on hold for more than an hour, the payment magically went through and now I have a 64 GB Space Gray iPhone 6 through Sprint on my way Friday.

It's now showing as Preparing for Shipment and due on Friday, and I've already found the tracking information on UPS, but the charge for the phone has been removed from my bank account. The full amount was originally taken from my bank instantly after my second attempt to pay for it. Guess it will come back out when it ships.

NOW there is no charge at all????? NO hold and NO charge? My bank account balance went back up the $4xx dollars..???

My order already shows preparing for shipment, should I be concerned?? Did they cancel my order?

Why on earth would they cancel your order? It says "Preparing for Shipment," does it not?

This has been covered a lot in this thread. They took the money out of your account to make sure you had it. In most cases, Apple does not actually charge you until your item ships.

I was more concerned that my bank stopped it so it was on hold and then they canceled it because they may think its fraudulent?.. Not really worried that apple would cancel as they would love my money.

3:30am - iPhone 6+
8:30am - Case

Charges as of this morning:

iPhone 6+ - Charged in full on 2014-09-12
Case - Nothing yet

BUT, my case has shipped, and my iPhone hasn't.

Other strange thing is the invoice for my case shows this:

$23.73 charged to American express XXXXXXXXXXXX
$38.42 charged to American express XXXXXXXXXXXX
For a total of $62.15

Ready for pick up at the Mall of Louisiana Apple Store on 9/19.
Still says processing items. I have been charged on my Debit Card.
I have no problem waiting on release day as long as I get mine!


Also, I would like to give a shout out to eggersj :cool: for posting that the app was working. Without you posting that, it's doubtful I would have gotten one. Thanks, friend.
 
Does anyone know if Apple is combining separate orders going to the same person in one box like Amazon does? Is a 1 lb box one iPhone 6 or two?

Mine has been at "Preparing for Shippment" since Saturday afternoon. My delivery windows is the 19th to 23rd though so unlike all of my friends south of the border, I'm not guaranteed to get mine this Friday.

Hopefully you are lucky though.

If done on separate orders I don't think they can or would. I have two separate orders going to the same person, same CC, (everything the same except for phone numbers of course) etc, and they show two different shipments. Same with last time we did this also.

Mine was the same status as yours until this morning so I would imagine they are getting to them all slowly but surely. I mean mine still show pending on the CC but both our phones now have serial numbers and tracking numbers as of this morning.
 
I just checked the support page and now I see my phones serial number. Hopefully it gets here Friday!

I really hope because I have an app we need to test immediately on the new devices and this would give me all weekend to test.
 
My package is on it's way.

It took about 12 hours from being added to the supportprofile.apple.com to being able to look up by reference.

People need to stop freaking out about the charges. I don't think they fully understand.

1) When you placed the order on Apple, Apple pings your debit/credit card to make sure the money is there. (this is just pending, even if the money "appears to be gone")
2) At some point the charge will disappear as pending
3) It will then re-appear as posted (as a sale) and the money will be gone. Usually this happens closer to shipping.

Haven't received a tracking number yet, ordered a 64GB and a 16GB iPhone 6. The 64GB is showing up on my support profile but the 16GB isn't but I have one extra device on my support profile which is probably the 16GB.

Called Apple yesterday to ask about my invoices as I had only gotten one and they told me that they send them out when the phone gets shipped and I should receive the second invoice sometime today. I'm thinking we should start seeing tracking numbers either late today or tomorrow.
 
UPS is showing some weird info.

Tracked it on UPS via my order number (without the last 2 digits), and it shows that the phone is in China, awaiting shipment, but the destination is in Illinois.

I am a Canadian buyer, and my address is in Canada. Purchased thru the Canadian Apple Store.

Is there a hub in Illinois that all Canadian apple products get shipped from?

I'm sure i will get it on time, just curious though.
 
Yay I can now see my tracking number through UPS's site. There's no info though so it must not have shipped.

Just an FYI everyone there is DEFINITELY a hub in Harrisburg PA with a ton of phones in it. Yours may not be coming from China, mine is coming from Harrisburg.

Since I live here after work I will go find the hub and bring everyone their phones early ;)

Did you use your Phone Number or Order No. for the lookup? Becuase if you use a shortened Order No. you may receive a wrong result.
