Can someone explain the process to use the ups track by reference I know you use both the phone number associated with the order and the order number minus the last 2 digits. What comes first tho? Also do I need to be very exact with the shipping rang, and what about the shipper account do I just leave that blank or what needs to go there?

Any help would be appreciated, I skipped around sections of the the thread with not much luck.

You don't put it all in. You only fill in the one blank (Shipment Reference) with the main phone number you use to order or you can use the order number minus two digits - but you don't use both. You don't need account numbers etc etc.

I just wanna get my iPhone. Still no shipping info from :apple: though

Am I the only one that shows a shipping weight of 1.40? I ordered a 128 GB iphone 6+. Like some people, mine has shipped and is currently in Kentucky hub right now.

My shipping weight only says .4 (iPhone 6, 64GB, Gold), maybe you got some free stuff :D.

I wish. I'm thinking it might be the next day air saver, with the box or whatever being heavier than those who got standard shipping from china so it might be different?

I wish tracking updates were live. I feel like UPS updates the tracking info once per day. Why can't the tracking information be more accurate, and maybe even list the indented route of the package.

Like when UPS gets a package, they know exactly what hubs, what routes and what locations the package needs to go before it goes to your house. Why can't they put that in the tracking info, so you can see what stops the package has planed...

lol to be honest, I track all my packages this intently, not just the ones from Apple. I guess I could be considered weird.

because then anybody can ambush the truck driver. demanding the package etc.. lol

yours is prob in flight 81 ups from alaska to kentucky!! scheduled to land 121AM EST so we should get updated around 200am set

I don't think that is possible, mine left AK 9/16 6:15PM, that would mean it was in the air for more than 24 hours!

To be honest, They do know. The reason they do it the way they do it because things change. Nothing is ever perfect. for instance my phone said departed china, but in fact it never left for whatever reason. They need to have a margin for error. Fedex and UPS normally work like clock work but neither are ever perfect. When you work in logistics you see how things move depending on whether they're going. its pretty interesting!

no, normally when they scan it they put it inside a pallet for the shipment so basically if they scanned it at 6:15pm last night their time and the plane left at 445pm last night their time then it would have stayed in a pallet which was scanned already in the airport waiting for the airplane to board.

That's true... I guess it wouldn't work for the average person that tracks packages, they'd be too upset at the site for constantly changing... however, I would love to see real time info of the package, and how the logistics change. That would be some super interesting info!!!
