The "I just bought/ordered/shipped/received my new iPhone 6/6 Plus" thread

What time should I show up to the Apple store if I just want to get a iPhone 6 plus case?

I am assuming the line is only for the phones. So does that mean I can just walk in the store at 8am?

Why not, the apple website said it would be available for pick up on 9/19.

EDIT: I just called the local Apple Store and they said I can just show up at 8am and tell the Apple store person that I just need a case and they will allow me in, to buy one.

So I don't know where you got your advice from.

I'm in Oregon. I'm going to assume it's going straight to Oregon then it will be scanned. I'm now actually worried what will happen if it doesn't come before my works receptionist leaves at 4. I can leave a sign to call me, but I don't want to wait until the next day or so to get it. I know, first world problems

Well, I went to see if my will call notice was legit...

The phone is there verified by a clerk. After about 10 minutes of looking for it, another clerk asked "is it an iPhone, because we cant find your package"

I said yes why?

They said all the iPhones are under police guard and will be escorted from the planes to the trucks in the morning. I guess they scan them in, and they go straight to a big police guarded compound.

Will call is across the street from the Ontario airport, UPS has a major air strip/hub there.

They said it should be available in the morning when they open at 10am.

I tried, oh well...

You can print out a pre-sign form to sign for the package ahead of time.

It is found next to your order status on Apple's website.

Has anyone else had their phone scan out of Harrisburg at like 9 PM last night and then never scan again? Heading to VA...still says it is due for delivery tomorrow.
 
Is the box really plain white for the iPhone 6. No picture of the phone on the top of the box? Even the grey phone comes in a white box?
Is that really it or there just too many fake u boxing videos on YouTube?..
If the box is really plain white then that is some ugly a55 Packaging by Apple

Yes, that is the new simple design.

Personally I like it, but miss seeing the old screen and calender icon on the boxes. Just nostalgic to me. But change is nice.

Yes, it's legit, and it's not ugly.

I liked the old packaging. Sorry but calling it a simple packaging is an excuse.. These little details make all the difference, especially when dealing with apple products. My nexus 5 came in a plain white box also but at least it had an outer slide on box cover with phone pictures and stuff.
 
Hey LA folks, looks like our phones that were in KY are in. Just got an arrival and departure scan!
 
I think it's quite nice. Apple is obviously being influenced by the fashion industry. It reminds of high end watch box or a box from Louis Vuitton or Gucci– really simple boxes with just the brand on the outside, because that's enough.

I think, at least in the photos, it looks like a box that was meant to run through a second stage of printing to have the phone image printed on.

Wow police guarded escort, that's pretty cool stuff! I'll be picking my up right after school tomorrow (1:00 PM) from my local UPS Customer Center. I'm so excited!
 
Hey all. I've been enjoying reading all the info people have been posting! It's been helpful with my own delivery curiosity- I received a tracking number today, for a deliver for tomorrow. So, I'm happy.

To add some entertainment as we all wait for the phones, I thought everyone would get a kick out of this.... All I can say is poor guy. His hands looked like they were shaking as he opened the box.

Thank you for the laugh! I needed it. I can't believe I'm this nervous about the low chance I might have to go 10miles on a bus to UPS in case tomorrow doesn't go well.
