14 inch pro 64gb 2tb ordered Friday. Originally 24-26 estimate just moved to 20-24. Really hoping to get it next week!

I cancelled my 16" M5 Pro 64GB/2TB order (ETA: March 25) today while waiting for it to process since Sunday morning. Gave it a thought given my use cases, decided rather than "future-proof" I'll just save the money and buy what more than does the job for me right now, and ordered a 14" M5 Pro 24GB/2TB at 2PM PST today and after completing the transaction, said it will arrive tomorrow between Noon-2PM PST via UPS. Nice surprise.

My CTO (16" MacBook Pro / M5 Max (18-core CPU, 40-core GPU) / 64GB / 2TB) has updated to Shipped with the new ETA of March 13th (originally March 18th). Tracking number shows arrival from Vietnam to the US Friday. (shipping from Vietnam is a first for me).

Woke up this morning to my launch day (within the hour) order delayed from saying Mar 18 to Mar 20-24.

I had ordered a M5 Pro with Nano Texture, 64GB RAM, 4TB SSD.

It seems specifically the nano texture units that are a bit more delayed. The 16 inch units we ordered were delayed further to Mar 24-26.

Ordered 14” 18/64GB/2TB Max but canceled my first order that was 24th-26th. Bought again through the education store and it moved from 20th-24th to 19th-23rd.

So my launch order one hour after the store opened was the 18th then got delayed the next day to the 20-24th. Yesterday my card was charged and it was marked as shipped, pending delivery on the 17th. My spec was fully loaded with the nano screen FWIW.

Ordered black 14" M5 Pro w/2TB & nano on 3/5. Original delivery estimate was 3/23-25. Yesterday the charge went though and it was preparing to ship. This morning it was shipped from Vietnam with an estimated delivery date of 3/16. A full week early. Cool.

Apple says my new 16" macbook pro m5 pro w/ 64GB RAM delivers on Friday but UPS says it'll deliver on Monday.

Who's right do you think?

This happened with my iPhone 17 Pro in January with Apple saying "Wednesday delivery" while UPS had "Thursday delivery." The phone arrived on Thursday.

Ok. I figure UPS is probably right. It is coming from Vietnam. Which is great cos I have places to go tomorrow on Friday.

Well you still might get lucky and it arrives early. The only time I recall receiving something from Apple ahead of schedule (sooner than Apple estimate) was if DHL was used for shipment. The M5 MBP I purchased in January showed up a day sooner than Apple said. Usually they are accurate, but some variation can occur.

Apple is not delivering the M5 to your door, UPS is making the delivery. Go with UPS delivery information. I would recommend checking the latest UPS tracking information on Friday morning for the latest.

In my experience every time Apple says delivery is Friday when I order and UPS says Monday, it is delivered on Monday.

Apple said March 13, while UPS changed it from March 13 to March 16. Now that it has left Anchorage, it’s back to March 13. It still needs to reach the main UPS hub in Louisville tonight before heading to my area. I’m fine with either day since my original delivery date was March 18.
