Apple need to coordinate/simplify their product classification like they used to do before :rolleyes: (see what happens with iPad lol)

Yeah to maintain the free on contract phone option, don't see why not to reuse 5s guts in new case. But would be nice if they include NFC.
 
Saw that article OP. Yes, I would like Apple to consider making a new iPhone 6 4 incher. Would also like the same thickness of the 5S as well. Solid built in my opinion, not thin as todays model.
 
It's not going to happen, the market wants larger screens. The folks that want a small screen seem to be in the minority.
 
I don't see why they would make a 4" phone. They finally went to larger form factors and they sold in record numbers. In fact, the larger one seems to have sold even better than they expected if the massive shortage of 6+ units is any indication. I see no reason why it would make sense for Apple to devote resources to producing a phone which it seems that only a small minority of the smartphone market would opt for over the larger alternatives. It makes more sense to just wait out those users who are clinging to their smaller I phones. The 4.7" iPhone 6 is still among the smallest of flagship phones today. If anything, Apple may be going bigger in the future.
 
I'd love the specs of a 6+ in a more compact package...wouldn't mind if it's a bit thicker.

Thanks for posting this link… I think it's great Apple is marketing to different segments and the likes of people. Having a 6+ myself, if I do decide to replace it in the future, I'd go with the mid-range size and select the 6. Personally, the 6 is a nice all-around size iPhone for carrying around in a pocket and active-lifestyle when going to the gym or out for a run.

I can at least say, "I've had the 6+ experience".
 
lol it's unbelievable how ppl get mad when you say you want a smaller iPhone.

Hey we are different ppl than you are , we lead different lifestyles and we prefer more compact iPhones we can use with one hand and feel good about it.

We are happy you love your XL iPhone, we think meeting the needs of many ppl is great.
 
They SHOULD come out with a childrens model. Small and with a choice of colors.

Ah, nevermind. They already did that.

Just remember on these forums the same people laughed at Samsung owners when the Galaxy Note first came out. Believe me, if Apple puts it out they will change their tune. They will call Apple genius for opening to a wider audience or whatever.

Take the iPodTouch5 case, stick the iPhone 6+ specs inside except 2gigs RAM also, waterproof it, 2 day battery life, and that is a phone for the ages. I should be CEO of Apple. Oh yes notification light too.

a iPhone with a 5S/5 body and using latest hardware (apple A8 at 20nm), would allow for probably like a 200 mAh jump or so which would be nice actually with the new screens.
 
I would never go back to a 4S footprint, the 6 is perfect.

Yes, iPod Touch 5 is a nice design along with offering all the colors. Why doesn't Apple do that? Does a phone have to be so mainstream and conservative looking?
 
Coming from a iPhone 5 it took me 2 days to get use to the feel of a iPhone 6. No way will I buy a smaller smart phone.

It does tell you quite a bit about the demographic of the posters on this forum. My suspicion is that most posters are younger than 25, perhaps 20, gamers, who watch movies on their phone and spend hours everyday looking at their phone screen.

If I were in the that demographic, I probably feel the same about 4" screen. I wonder though if I would have the wisdom to consider the possibility that not everyone is like me, and to think that it's OK for Apple to make a 4" phone because they won't stop making 4.7" and 5.5".

I am glad Apple is not a car company otherwise we end up with suggestions that no one want a coupe. Get a station wagon or a van so you can carry more stuffs.

Unlike the working class like me, if your life is such that you use your phone mostly for phone calls, texting, or short emails, then a smaller 4" iP6s is classier than its larger sibling. It's like driving a Porches 911 compared to me driving a van, or my friend an RV (6+). Sure, I can fit a lot of camping stuff in my van, but the people who drive Porches have people who bring set up tents for them.

I just traded my 6 for a 5s a few days ago, and these rumors are definitely exciting! Hopefully they are real.
 
iPhone Classic model with an engraved image of Jobs face on the back and the 3.5" display he loved on the front. The devoted fans would be thrilled.

Reinforce the 6+s and those of us who embrace change will be happy to have a durable model that is well built.
