Nothin quite so jolly...........

as a tipsy brit. Never could get the hang of that whole room temperature beer thing.

whereas a rather fine

above room temp rioja goes down a treat.

I'm SO fed up with work, bloody mac keeps on crashing, or it maybe it's Opera 5.0 final edition which I'm typing through now.

Cold tasteless beer (or larger to give it it's proper name), is another thing that I've always found a little perplexing.

I dunno, i always like beer low on hopps

Not too hoppy and perhaps a bit darker. Don't get me wrong here, I don't like painfully cold Lagers either. I prefer temperatures somewhere in between. I've found that freshness does make a surprising difference and beers with less hopps take longer to get "skunky". As far as lighter coloured beer goes, I went through an unfiltered "white" beer phase but they get a bit boring. Have you had Murphy's stout? Beats Guinness all to hell.

Aha canadian then you must be able...

to explain the existence of o.1Mhz miller.

The follow on from the murphys vs Guiness thing goes as follows...

Have you tried Murphys it's much better...

Ah, but you've never drunk Guiness in Ireland...

Blah, blah etc...

Of course, if you're talking German or dutch beers we might had a thread here. During your 'white' phase did you go near Hoeggarten (a fine though expensive beer - always refuse the slice of lemon). Or Schneider Weise (a dark beer, think Tim Burton's Batman). And I won't start on English Mild (it's a northern thing!)

Macs, thy're a load of Coors

Had to add that just to make the post relevant.

Screw relevance

Haven't seen miller .1 Wouldn't touch the stuff anyway. As far as German beers go, I haven't seen those brands. Perhaps I should look harder. For a good Canadian beer try O'keefs Extra-Old Stock. That stuff is powerful enough that the US won't import it. I suppose the Guinness in Ireland is a bit less like the burnt tar remnants in your average Hashpipe for flavour than the Guinness that makes it States side. We have plenty of "Craft brewers" around here, so dabbling is easy. Have you met McEwans Scottish Ale? It's almost like Brandy. Damn powerful. Odd to have an Eirized Scotts name on a Scottish Ale.

agreenster and mischief

You guys are something else jumping from forum to forum elaberating on various topics. Mischief, you did comment on my statement in regard to what happen to apple in the 1990's, and I really appreciate you comment explaining to me what happen.

Agreenster, you are something else also. After reading your comments on other topics I get the feeling you were a little dissapointed at this MWSF convention.

Both of you are senior members, and to reply to other members comment the subject or statement have to be very valid.

This imac thing has gotten a lot of folks confuse. Especially hard core mac fans such as both of you. I read another senior member comment that he is going to stop writing because no one is talking about what this whole forum is about (Manrumors).

Right now there is nothing to rumor about because Apple has release there products. It might not be what folks here expected, but its done and said. Therefore, we can only commnet on what was release at this time.

As MacWorld Tokyo approaches, you will then see rumors popping up everywhere on what folks think they (Apple) are going to come out with.

Back to "THE iMac IS NOW A FRIGGEN LUXO LAMP" subject. I think this new imac is an ingenious design. However, like I said before BASE ON READING A MAJORITY OF PEOPLES COMMENTS. This is not what Mac fans wanted. Maybe would be consumers. But not devoted and loyal mac fans who has been with Apple for years and made them who they are and where they are today.

Therefore, as a token of apprecaition. I think apple owe it to us on giving us what we want. New more powerful computers that will lead us to where NO PC HAS GONE BEFORE.

I mean not the ipod, or imac, or other would be MP3 players to name a few. Just plain old faster and innovative super computers.

now why did you have to come down here and spoil everything?

HEY???

Having a beer, chilling out, widening the conversation.

Luxo Lamp. Well you see people who get onto forums are not mac fans necessarily, they are mac addicts, who believe that they OWN apple, or at least a significant part of it.

They cry when apple cry's, laugh when Steve laughs, die when etc...

The 6 million or so (slightly less if you believe the true analysts) of people who bought a variant of the original iMac are not on these boards. Not many admit or list the fac thtey are on iMacs. I sold 1,200 iMacs to people in the last four years. People who had never had a computer and wanted an all in one total internet solution. They wouldn't know what a bulletin board was.

They are who the iMac is for. And the many other unwashed millions, who don't know it yet.

There are a lot of pro users here.

I hope that gets the thread back on track.

Except, Pete's wicked ale's are rather fine. And McEwans strong but it would have to be, it tastes like;'

To each his own.

Funny, I find Pete's rather mediocre.
I own an iMac cuz I have no room at home for a tower. I use a G4 at work. I'm glad I can finally get an iMac that can handle my CAD system not to mention the (technically) larger screen.

Oh well, done my spreads

And not at ALL offended that no-one wants to read them.

There was a special Pete version that I liked but can't remember what it was.

All this board hopping has done me in, much catch my last bus home.

'nite all (for real)
