Obviously you need to send me your iPad, then I will have 2 of them that work fine over here.

Mine has serious WiFi issues as well. The suggestion to "change your router" is absurd. I use a half dozen other devices on the router without a single problem.

My wife's ipad and my ipad2 both have issues with wifi but ONLY when using my iphone 4 as a hotspot. I turn on the hotspot initially and then get the ipads connected and all is well. But if the ipad/ipad2 are "closed" (via smart cover, timeout, or power button) and then awakened, it can't find the iphone hotspot again. The ONLY solution I have found is to awaken my iphone and go to the personal hotspot screen and then go into settings on the ipads and turn off and on the wifi to pick it up. Sometimes I even have to turn off and on the personal hotspot.

No issues with any land-based wifi connections on either ipad.

Not sure if this is relevant, but I'll offer it anyway. Until recently I always had wi-fi issues with my iPad, I just chalked it up to a weak antenna. And then I decided to connect it to my 2.4GHz wireless n network rather than the 5GHz that it was dedicated to. Problem solved! I haven't had an issue since then. 5GHz is a pretty thin signal, so it could be the culprit.
