I just got the SF Bags/Waterfield Hint today. I've attached some pics.

Some impressions:
  1. The brown leather is high-quality and smells great.
  2. The fit is very snug, no worries that the phone will fall out. At the same time, the fit is so snug you won't be able to have anything more than a screen protector (and maybe a back protector) applied to your iPhone. Side protection like Ghost Armor will likely peel off from your phone from repeatedly sliding the phone in and out of the sleeve. Not sure about ultra thin cases, but my Diz TPU has no shot of going into this sleeve.
  3. As with any other sleeve, it's susceptible to lint and particles. This combined with the sliding action can't be good for your phone unless you keep your phone and sleeve clean regularly.
  4. The plastic window is a great idea, although with the iPhone 5's design there is no way to take a phone call with the phone inside the sleeve (no speaker or mic holes built in). Texting and very light browsing with the phone through the window is passable.
  5. The external pouch is good for about 5 cards.

Overall, I really like this case, although I wouldn't keep it as my only go to. Too many minor nagging usability issues to use it daily. I'll be using it for nights out and quick trips to the grocery store.

thanks for the clear photographs. I ordered one for the iP5. Have the Sena UltraSlim, but dislike removing all the time to see a text message, etc.

So was looking for one with a clear window to handle that. Perfect for my naked phone, in the pocket and going through airport security. It seems longer than the Sena too: this will protect the top better.

Hope it fits the bill.

Im getting the Incipio Stashback. Perfect for me. Ill let you know how I like it when I get it this friday!

I'm not sure when each one launched - I know the Ninja seems to made differently - it doesnt have the seams that the sinji does (that's where the sinji tore). Also it seems to stretch quite a bit more (i have about 9 cards in mine). I've had it for about 4 months now - working well (I got the black one). So far the only wallet that works on my GS3 (actually if I go on a trip, I take out my cards, and store a spare battery in it - definitely necessary considering the GS3's terrible battery).

Only my opinion of course but I still think that the Bullet Case trumps all cases in this thread hands down!!!! Find it on Kickstarter !

They should be shipping at the end of this month!!

Picked up the Smartflex by Speck case for me and my wife today from Best Buy for $20 a piece. Pretty solid case. I'm able to fit my ID, 2 debit cards, and my transit card. Same for my wife as well.

Better price at best buy than amazon which is hard to believe.
Its 30$ on amazon

well the ilid was a waste of money. After waiting for months, the hinge broke rendering the tghing useless. Lots of others have had similar problems if you read the reviews on Amazon
Back to using the incipio now

Well looks like I'll be returning this case. I forgot one important thing, my work ID that's needed for me to get in the building daily. I forgot it this morning and had to get a temporary one. I know that 4 cards would be a bit too much as it's already a tight fit w/ 3. My wife is keeping hers as it works for her. Back to the case drawing board I guess.

I already have a Speck Smartflex Case on my iPhone 5, but I'm thinking of switching to the http://www.cardninja.com/ as you can carry cards and cash.

I'm wondering if I could just attach the cardninja to my Smartflex case and have that much more room. Maybe use the smartflex slot for cards and the ninja for cash only.

Thoughts?

Anyone tried this?

BulletTrain SAFE Wallet for iPhone 5

I was a Kickstarter supporter of this case back in January, and I'm FINALLY getting delivery this week! They had originally promised delivery by April. Then it was May. Then June...well, you've got the idea. Here's a review of it...

REVIEW: Is The New iPhone 5 SAFE Wallet The Greatest iPhone Case Ever?

I can't wait!!!!

I will definitely post my own review as soon as I've had a week or so to live with it. But it sounds like the greatest thing since sliced bread!

I'll be definitely be waiting to see your review as I also was a backer way back in Jan I think!! Yea - they promised delivery in April, them May, then June, then July, then August and now I've finally received my 'its shipping' email to say I will be receiving it between 3rd and 9th Sept:):)

Yeah, my shipping email says it's arriving on August 30th!! Two days!

It does look pretty amazing, but I must say, Jake really let us all down with his overly enthusiastic updates about why there were always further delays. He's great at coming up with excuses, but not so great at accepting some of the responsibility. Let's see if he can deliver....

So? Did your case arrive?!

Yes, my case did arrive! It is actually everything it's advertised to be. Amazingly, the case is very sturdy and durable, protects my iPhone much better than my Incipio case, is very lightweight, and holds five credit cards plus at least three bills of US currency. I love it!

I really don't need to carry a wallet anymore! I think this case really has changed my life!

I just received my BulletTrain SAFE Wallet case and its been perfect so far! The installation of this case is a little tricky though. I managed to get everything to fit properly after a few attempts.

This case better work with the next iPhone lol.

So I finally received my case last week (after backing the company waaaaaaaaay back in January on Kickstarter) and initial impressions are quite good!

It has curved sides and and has an ergonomic feel when in the hand and doesn't feel too bulky considering it is now a wallet as well.

The back of the case has a 'soft touch' finish which provides good grip however I have read quite a number of reviews from other Kickstarter backers complaining that this finish has started to rub off so the durability of this may be in doubt (mine has been fine so far).

There are also some issues regarding the power button (again - I have managed to get mine seated correctly so its not an issue for me) where if the phone doesn't sit in the case properly (its a really tight fit), the power button can become permanently engaged. If yo have any skins or shields on the back of the phone - the case WILL NOT FIT as it is so tight!

Also, the silent/mute switch on the side of the case also takes a little time to get in place correctly. There is is also a slight issue whereby the surrounding area around the switch (on the actual case) is too large for the actual switch. This means that when you turn the switch to the muted position and then back again - you can barely notice the 2 positions apart as there is not enough travel of the switch itself. Compare the pics below and you will notice that the 2 positions (unmuted and muted) look almost identical:

The question on everybody's lips however is how does it function as a wallet?

Well the answer to that is extremely well! I managed to get 5 cards into the compartment at the back fairly easily (I don't know of ANY other iPhone credit card case which can accommodate 5 cards!!)

The 'thumb gap' on the inside of the compartment is so that you can push out the unwanted cards to get to the one which you require - a nice touch! If you also have any cards which offer near field communication (I have an Oyster card which you swipe on buses and at train stations to allow travel) these can also work through the case which means just swiping your phone instead of taking the card out.

I have attached a few pics of the case plus compared the size to my Otterbox Defender.

All in all - I am liking the case. I will see how the durability of the 'soft touch' material goes and post back if this does indeed become an issue.

Hey guys Im looking for a leather card holder case. I dont want flaps,a sleeve, or a book I just want a sleek soft leather with card holders in the back. The closest I came on this thread was the denim one, but its denim. Need something classier for the iPhone 5s. Anyone have any ideas?

Just happened to post about this in another thread earlier. Best wallet case I've owned and I've had a bunch.

I skimmed all of the pages, and it seems like the SAFE Bullet Train Iphone 5 Case is the best one for me because it's secure, sturdy, doesn't show your cards at all, not too bulky, and is relatively affordable. And it's still a simple case, without a flap in the front. But my problem is that they have a backlog of orders and can't ship until mid-December!

Are there any cases that don't have a flap in the front, aren't overly bulky (I'd only be carrying like 1-2 cards, I don't need my keys and money and 6 credit cards) and hide your cards so that no one can see them? I currently have a cheapy Belkin Grip case, but I like it because it's slim.

I take public transportation, and I always have my phone out if I'm reading, texting, playing games, etc. I don't want people seeing my credit card, Starbucks card or train pass! That's what's so frustrating about 90% of these cases. I can see what cards I have in the case, and so can everyone else.
