Interesting. My first reaction was "that is one ugly looking phone"

Oh well, to each their own.
I think it's ugly, too.
****ing protruding camera.

Looks like Samsung Galaxy.

Guess I will have to weigh in on the thinness, not size of this new iPhone. I really like the thickness of the 5S that tells me its solid/mature phone, and not just another thin Samsung Look-A-Like. Current one's are not heavy either. That's just me however.

I love the front, and don't care for the back (or the protruding camera) - but with a case, it will look fine.

Def sad about the protruding camera and antenna lines. Why could they not make the camera flush in the plus. It's wider than the 6

I'm a little concerned that the camera lense is sticking out. Isn't that going to get scratched quite easily ?

Reason I guess is the thinness of the phone over the 5S, that is thicker, and can handle the camera to make it flush...

I don't think the official renders look any better than the leaks we've seen. I don't hate it. I'm definitely getting one but not because of the looks. I stil think the 5S looks way more classy. Especially in gold. The new gold just looks kind blah.

That said, because I didn't get the 5S in gold (and feel like I missed out) I'm really thinking of getting the 6 plus in gold, even though I think the space grey looks better for this model. Torn.

The 5.5 in space grey is going to be really hard to get.

Because they are improving on the camera. There is a reason why cameras don't have flat lenses.

As for the look I think this is the best looking iPhone yet.

I´ll just wait for the 6c, no ugly lines or ugly camera bump on the back.

It's not about width. The optics need a certain distance from the sensor depending on the sensor size and focal length of the lens. This is a physics problem, which is why all these new thin phones have protuding cameras.

I usually prefer having a white phone, but the space grey looks really tempting.
The gold is quite unimpressive, I think this marks the end of the gold era.

The black does look really sleek.

I'd consider gold only for resell value... but I don't think it looks all that great personally. The gold hype isn't what it used to be, so not sure it would resell for more anyway.

So my Note 3 is 6 inches long exactly in the flip case, the Iphone 6+ is 6.22 with no case on it, didn't think it would be that much bigger, same width as the Note 3 in the Smartview case.

I think that the iPhone 6 is really sexy and sleek looking. I am between the silver and the space grey model. Normally I buy white iPhones, but the space grey looks better..

Now I am looking at the new Apple website and it looks great!

Dude those web photos are taken by pros with perfect lightings photoshop-out any imperfections. Go see it in real life, feel it on your hands blah-blah before being such a lamb.

As a longtime iPhone user but not a fanboy, I think the i6 is disappointing. All we're basically getting is a bigger screen, everything else is an incremental upgrade just like previous iPhones. The camera isn't going to be as big a leap as the i5 to the 5S, and yet it protrudes from the casing. The RAM is odds-on to remain at 1GB and the battery life on the 4.7" model is nothing spectacular. Plus the antenna breaks look HORRIBLE.
So all in all, it's a big miss from me and I'm going to try the Note 4. I'm under no illusions and know that I might return to iPhones, but for me the time is right to try something else.

What kind of revolutionary advancements were you expecting exactly?

I wanted a bigger screen, more RAM and image stabilisation all wrapped up in an elegant casing. All I got was the bigger screen and frankly it's not enough, especially not for the premium Apple charge.

Haha! After all of your posts, this is somewhat satisfying to hear you'll switch to the note. Maybe put your hands on the 6+ in person though :)

Why are the antenna bands black/dark on apples website gallery but in the hands on videos it's lighter (and uglier)?
