Haha! After all of your posts, this is somewhat satisfying to hear you'll switch to the note. Maybe put your hands on the 6+ in person though :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the iPhone 4 and it remains my favourite mobile device to date. However, the iPhone 5 was a technological dinosaur coupled with loose buttons and a dreadful battery life once iOS7 was installed on it, so yeah it was going to take an extremely appealing iPhone 6 to make me stick with Apple and I'm afraid what they delivered is hugely disappointing. I won't feel bad jumping ship and I'm actually looking forward to getting the Note 4. I would feel like I was doing the wrong thing getting the i6 because it just doesn't seem anywhere as up to date as the top Android phones. It has old specs and old aesthetics.
I'll see what the iPhone 7 brings to the table...

I wanted a bigger screen, more RAM and image stabilisation all wrapped up in an elegant casing. All I got was the bigger screen and frankly it's not enough, especially not for the premium Apple charge.

You got a bigger screen and image stabilization for sure. We haven't seen any breakdowns so we don't know for sure what the RAM is yet.

So you got two out of three for certain and potentially three. Why are you complaining?

Optical stabilisation is only in the 6+ and RAM was my no.1 requirement. We don't know for sure what it will be, but the rumour is a paltry 1GB.

Back is MUCH nicer than the iPhone 5/5s with their fugly bars at the top and bottom. I like what they did with the antennae.

With the bump on the camera lens seems it won't lay flat on a table therefore causing scratches on the metal bump around the lens. I hope not.

You really think those massive bars at the top and bottom are "classy"? So happy they're finally gone.

The whole phone looks more elegant.
If the RAM does stay at 1GB then all those who didn't want a larger screen must be breathing long sighs of relief right now, because the 5S is a much nicer looking phone and not really that far off the new one spec-wise!

To be honest, even without the antenna lines, I think the 6 and 6 Plus are the ugliest iPhones to date. I'll probably still buy one, though. The leather cases look nice enough.

As an iPhone 4 user the 4.7" iPhone 6 will be a massive step up for me and I can't wait to get my hands on one. I was underwhelmed with the 5s and decided to hang on another year. I can't come soon enough for me.

However, there are three things I don't like about it:

1. The colours. I'm not keen on any of the three choices. I much preferred the slate grey of the iPhone 5.

2. The antenna bands are just naff. I appreciate that they're required but thinner ones surely must be possible. If the phone was black or very dark grey with matching bands it wouldn't look as bad.

3. The protruding camera lens is just very un-apple like. Would Steve jobs have stood for that? Again, I understand that it is probably technically necessary but I would have preferred a slightly thicker phone to maintain the aesthetic. This may in turn have allowed for a larger battery which is a better trade off in my view.

Anyway it's not going to stop me from getting one. The answer I think is to get the space grey model and a black leather case. That will cover up the colour, antenna bands and protruding camera lens in one fell swoop. :)

Agreed. A camera lens cover flush with the main body, and a larger battery would have been two areas of *win*. Would anyone seriously take a smaller battery and a protruding camera housing in order to save a couple of millimetres' thickness? It beggars belief.

6 plus

I am going to get the 64 or the 128 in space gray, and a black leather case from Apple. I will also get
Square Trade protection for 2 years.
Now that I have to wait until next year for the Apple Watch I can start saving for it now, and not worry about it.

A silver, 128GB Plus for me.

[Edit] Applecare + too and I've ordered a £6.99 Spigen case from Amazon, to keep me safe for the first few days, while I settle on a more 'long term' case (still loving the Tough Armor on my 5S).

Can't wait to get my hands on one. 128GB is fantastic, and the larger screen and improved cameras are more than welcomed.

LOVE this phone! In my opinion one of better designs if not the best. It just looks amazing. FINALLY no more chamfered edges! All the under the hood stuff was pretty much what I expected and where it needed to be. So this was more about the looks to Me. Also that's the ONLY smart watch I've seen that I would wear. That thing looks just incredible. So classy looking!

I agree 105%

Jobs would have never allowed that camera to protrude like it does. That is not a "seamless" solution even though Apple's own marketing is stressing how the lines on this phone blend seamlessly together and disappear.....except for when they hit the protruding camera.

He wouldn't have called the 5.5 phone a "Plus" either. You don't give a "Plus" moniker to an Apple product much less and iPhone. There's nothing classy or tasteful associated with that wordage. It's like "super sizing" your fries or coke going through the McDonalds drivethru. It fails the Apple brand.

Dude those web photos are taken by pros with perfect lightings photoshop-out any imperfections. Go see it in real life, feel it on your hands blah-blah before being such a lamb.

Lol, those aren't photos, those are renderings. Also what imperfections are you talking about? You think it comes with scratches from the factory? I'd say it will look even better in real life.

Get your facts straight before calling somebody a lamb.

This.
I don't hate the 5/5S back but im not crazy about two different colors on the back like that.

The 6 is sexy.

and yet the antenna band is a different colour to the rest of the back shell, therefore 2 different colours.

I like the black because the bezel disappears when the screen is off. Looks a lot more sleek IMO

Too bad gold has better resell value for whatever reason

Yeah, two reason why the black looks better. One, as you said, you can't see the edge of the screen and also it's quite a lot harder to notice the sensor and camera on the front.
