I couldn't agree more. The 6 Plus has the best looking display on the handheld market. Nuff said.

Well, that's not strictly true given that the note 4 is widely accepted as having the best display...

----------

Don't downplay the significance of this upgrade. It's not just bigger; it's also got a higher pixel count, higher pixel density, and higher contrast ratio. DisplayMate has officially dubbed the 6 Plus display the best LCD in a smartphone they've ever seen. And I'll take the superior colour reproduction of the 6 Plus' display over the over-saturated Super AMOLED Samsung uses anyday. AMOLED may look better for video games and action films, but LCD is the superior choice for regular use and photography.

I think that used to be true. I believe the note 4 was determined as having the most accurate colour reproduction on the market.

I really doubt that. Ive compared screens in stores and the lg g3 wins in my books. Thats said they are all great screens. Matter of preference i guess.

I love my phone; if I wanted another phone if have one. All I hear about how this is better and that is better. Obviously if you're on the forums and on this post, you love the 6+. I could have a note IV if I sold the 6+, but I won't use the features on it. My mom has the G3 and it bores me. This is the ultimate iPhone. Larger and sharper screen, louder output from the headphone jack, longer battery life and it's not that bad with one handed use.

When I first opened the box honestly my first thought was 'oh my gosh, this is going back' because it was just so big (hadn't played with one or seen one in the wild at all). But now I love it so much. Screen is just incredible. It's weird to say but text is where I really notice it...more than pictures or videos. Text looks almost like a kindle or like a sticker on the phone. Incredible. And the battery life? I don't think I'll ever go back to a non-Plus!

Never owned a g3 but examined one in the store and the screen was clearer and sharper than my 6+.

That's objectively untrue (based on measured contrast, greyscale, and color accuracy). From Anandtech's review:

Unfortunately, if there is any real flaw in the LG G3, it is the display. The goal of attaining a ~540 PPI has come at immense cost. Relative to the competition, the LG G3 definitely sees a noticeable reduction in battery life, although it’s still firmly above what we’ve seen from 2013 (Snapdragon 600) flagships. Outside of the power trade-off, the display doesn’t get particularly bright for daytime viewing. There are also issues with the saturation compression that causes obviously oversaturated colors in almost every situation. LG has also added significant artificial sharpening to the display image, which causes noticeable artifacting in some situations.

You seem to prefer oversaturated colors and artifacting. That's fine, I guess. If you could take the phone outside, though, I'm sure you'd agree that it's not nearly bright enough to use in sunlight. Having owned the phone, I agree completely with the Anandtech review regarding the display. In this respect, it's actually a huge step backwards for LG from the G2. The display is the only thing that rules out the G3 as possibly being the best Android phone at the moment, IMO.

I noticed that the Plus screen compared to the regular 6:

6 Plus seems to be whiter/blue

Regular 6 seems to be yellow tinted, but varies in intensity.

I wonder if the Plus and regular 6 use different Lcd/ips panels.

So far I have a few people in my building and work that have 6 plus, they have bright white/blue screens. I haven't encountered a yellow screen yet.

Anyone here with a 6 plus and yellow tinted screen?
