The GPS on the iPhone 4s totally blows!
Works fine for me. Sounds like you're confusing whatever app you're using with the GSP receiver on the iPhone but that's fairly typical for most people...

Seriously, nothing can touch Google navigation. And anyone trying to make the argument otherwise is just kidding themselves. This is one thing I will miss when I completely move over to Windows Phone. But I have a standalone Garmin that is more than accurate to take over.
Anyone making blanket statements like this is kidding himself. Google Maps Nav is a good app but it's not the end-all-be-all for everyone. There are those that prefer and/or need locally stored map data and Google Maps Nav (even with its precaching) isn't a suitable solution for them. Stop kidding yourself by assuming that your preferences are universal, regardless of topic.

I've used quite a few options including, Google Maps Nav, for over 30K of road trips across the country and there's certainly more than just one good nav app out there.

I didnt say he cant post.
Its just pointless to bring up a 3 year old thread to discuss an issue with his 4S GPS that's all.
Others are discussing so it's not pointless. It is, however, pointless to keep pointing out the age of the thread. We can read the dates just fine without your repeated posts. If you want the thread to die then stop posting in it.

You can, obviously the person that dug it up cannot.
Either way my GPS works fine on my 4S using Navigon.
And I didnt say I wanted the thread to die, I was just responding to posts. Is that ok with you Mr 30K road trips knowitall?

The GPS on the iPhone 4s totally blows! When driving it lags big time. If I want it too actually tell me the true direction I'm walking/driving I have to wait a couple minutes and even then sometimes it never works. This is one component that droid has done far better than apple. This is a pain in the a** fix this apple!

ABsolutely. The Google voice turn by turn navigation is spot on on my Galaxy Note. The iPhone nav was terrible not to mention that the screen was so damn small, the maps were almost useless.

I loved my IP4, but navigation is far superior on what I have now.
