Is is just me or does anyone else think the time has come for the iPhone to have a significantly larger screen, than what we got with the iPhone 5? Many of the other cell phone manufactures are realizing that consumers what larger screens on their smart phones, so they're making them. I hope Apple steps it up a bit or I may have to jump ship.

I recently switched to iPhone 5 from android because of the screen size. It was getting difficult to find a powerful phone that wasn't massive. I think the iPhone 5 is the perfect size

If smaller than current will sell poorly and would be brand suicide. If bigger will sell like hot cakes.

I want a larger screen. A 4 inch screen is laughable by today's standards. 4.3-4.7 retina display to me would be perfect.

Wow!!! An original thread for once.

There's no better example in recent times than the thousands of (pre-mini) posts declaring how big a failure a smaller iPad would be.

Bordering on foul mouthed obscenities, the naysayers were so emotional, so certain, so angry, it was hard to believe.

How quick they were to condemn a fresh idea and new product. A stellar example of the extreme hypocrisy that lives on in AppleVille. :)

I think it would be cool if Apple offered different sized iPhones and would help get their phones into the hands of more people. Samsung is doing it with the Galaxy line and they are selling tons. I went from a GS3 to a Note 2 and am now hearing rumors of a 5.8" and 6.3" Galaxy device that may be in the works? Can't wait to see if this holds true!

No it doesnt. I like the 4 inch screen and it is the perfect size for me. I would be happy with multiple iphone sizes but making only one big size would be a turn off for me. (although id probably still stick with the iPhone because all the alternatives are dinosaur sizes.

Dude, no one has EVER thought of this....

There's only about 500 threads here on MR about his very topic, maybe add your ideas to one of those next time?

Maybe that's because more and more people want this to happen.
OR maybe people feel they are so important they need to start their very own beat to death thread.... what you think?

I like the screen size of my iPhone 5. However, I wouldn't object to a screen in the 4.3-4.5 inch range. No complaints though.

Personally, I find that 4 inch (perhaps another half inch larger) is getting close to the biggest screen for a device to fit comfortably in the pocket. Everyone's different I suppose.

The way Android are going, we are going to be carrying a tablet in our pockets in a couple of years. There was the S2 with a 4.3 inch screen, then the S3 with a 4.8 inch, now there's the S4 with a 5 inch screen.

Another one ...

Basically my opinion is that 4" (with this form factor) is a little small for a flagship smartphone nowadays ...
At the same time I think the 5-5.5" droid out there are just ridiculous monster and I don't want such a thing in my pocket, now or never.

What I'm saying since iPhone 5 release is that 4.2" could be the sweet spot: same height the actual iPhone 5 with a slightly wide screen.
But I could buy a bigger iPhone ... Up to 4.5-4.7" but not more than that.
