If Apple decides to use a bigger screen I just hope they keep it under 4.5". I don't want Apple to go the Samsung route. A 5" screen makes a way too large phone. Even the almost bezel-less GS4 in ginormous for a phone bordering on phablet territory.

Note: some people complain of the iPhone 5 elongated screen. It is not an elongated screen it has the same aspect ratio (16:9) as the Galaxy line and many other android phones. The iphone 4s and bellow had a short aspect ratio.

Apple absolutely needs to release a larger iPhone ASAP

After seeing hands-on reivews on the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3", I was shocked to notice that the phone is actually not as huge as I first imagined and it fits comfortably in the hand. I am now absolutely convinced that Apple needs to step-up its game by releasing at least 3 different sizes for the iPhone: 4", 4.85", and 5.5" (phablet) if they want to stay in the smartphone race. At Starbucks today, I saw a man with an iPhone 4S and had to stare at his phone screen really really close, he looked ridiculous and it was painful for me to even see him having to do that! I hope Tim Cook wakes up and starts taking actions. Apple is starting to get very slow at changing things to keep consumers happy. Things are not static in the tech world.

I think the perfect screen size was any iPhone BEFORE the 5. I don't want a huge screen for a PHONE. Besides my coat pockets aren't deep enough:p

phablets are stupid, where I live you'd have it stolen in 5 minutes flat, carrying a brick like that about :p

Something OP should understand about these forums:

If someone here doesn't personally want a larger iPhone, then it's ridiculous to even suggest it. No one on earth could possibly want or get use out of such a hideous device.

All this, of course, goes out the window the second Apple announces such a device. Then, it's the greatest gift Steve Jobs could have left us (because he personally designed everything Apple has released in the past and will release for at least 10 years in the future).

Longer screen? Maybe maybe not. A wider screen? HELLZ YEA

I like the iPhone screen size. Any bigger and it stops feeling like a phone and more like a big ass TV on your pocket. A phone is supposed to be small and compact, hence the "mobile" description.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is simply awful to carry.

Until Apple bring the iPhone out in at least two different sizes they will not please everybody. Do yourself a favor and switch to an android phone if you need a bigger screen, that's what i did and there is no turning back for me :D

Want a bigger screen, get a laptop. I like the screen size the way it is.

Seriously? A laptop? I mean, that's a bit drastic, dontcha think?

I want a larger screen and have switched to Android several times.. but I HATE the OS!!! Ugh!

Having used a Samsung Galaxy S3 for a week I do like the larger size and think a 4.8" screen is just about perfect, I hope the iPhone 5s or 6 has a larger screen if they don't they are going to lose a lot of customers.

I thought the grass would be greener on the other side with a bigger screen. It's not. I felt like I was holding up a small paper book that made my face sweat when talking on the phone. It was also a pain in the rear to type and hold with just one hand. Even selecting something on the top left of the screen when holding with the right hand was impossible. I tried the HTC One, took it back and traded in for an iPhone 5. The screen is really the perfect size.

I just checked out the HTC One, and that's how I felt. I love the phone quality but the OS sucks.

Same here beautiful hardware, it just leaves u wanting more. We're Is the HTC tablet, laptop or tv box. I even consider a S4 and smart tv, Samsung had a chance to nail it. They blew it with 70's technology IR?

If the HTC One ran iOS it would easily be my next phone. Apple will eventually offer a larger screen. The question is when.

I kinda like the screen size. That's not to say I wouldn't like a larger screen but I'm fine with it being this size. I do agree that it would be nice if they had two models one with a larger screen and one that is the current size.

I want a wider screen. There's no point in having a 'larger' screen unless it achieves something. Many websites scale output to screen width, so they become absurdly small on the iPhone. I want to be able to view information on the iPhone in portrait mode without having to use a magnifier...
This man gets it!

I also marvel at all the statements: "I don't personally want a larger screen, so no one should get the option."
