fair enough, I just thought the wallpaper clashed with the icons. Seemed like there was too much going on. lol I sound like an idiot criticising other peoples home screens. You're right it is just down to preference
Well, actually, I agree with you. However, it doesn't bother me because I use a blank home screen. The only time my phone is on my second page is when I need to open an app that is on that page (because it's not already on the multitasking bar). So although it does look bad behind all the icons, it doesn't particularly bother me. Especially since, like someone else in this thread, I too go back to my main (blank) home screen before locking my phone, lol.

The notes in my wallet are all facing the same way, queens head to the front and I like to maintain a very clean bottom.

I agree with not having folders on the dock, looks horrible. Folders on the right hand side of the home screen.

I like the lock screen wallpaper to be the same as the main wallpaper. (It looks so much smoother the animation when unlocking the phone)

Basic stuff like phone, messaging, Safari, iPod, contacts, weather never go in a folder. iTunes store and app store have to be next to each other in the middle of the screen.

All my music must have album covers.

Done! hehe.

Hah I thought I was odd...

Home screen has to only have top row and has to be app store, camera, safari and 'social' folder. Has been same on 3G, 3GS and now 4 (facebook up until folders).

Second page on ios4 is 8 folders in alphabetical order and the apps in each folder are all alphabetically sorted.

iPod isn't so much a concern, I never use the pictures bit.

Contacts all need to be full names so pictures sync with facebook.

Dock has always been phone, messages, mail and iPod.

:)

- No bottom row except one app on the first page (actually a requirement)
- No folders on the first page
- No icon with the same color next to each other, especially blue icons, they need to placed like on the screenshot
- No unused apps on the phone
- All apps in folders from page 2 on

I'm a little ocd about mine too. The apps aren't in any particular order, but I do have everything right where I want it, and I don't want them moved. I let my 5 year old daughter play one of her kid games in the back seat on night and when I got the phone back, she had moved every last one of my apps. This was before folders and I had 7 pages of apps. It just about drove me crazy.

• I can't have any folders on my first page, it just annoys me for some reason.
• My Camera app has to be on the top right and the Photos app has to be directly below it.
• My settings has to be at the bottom right, with the app store to the left of it and Safari has to be on the top left.
• My first page has to be full, not having a full page bugs me. (other than folders page)
• I've got to have album artwork for everything.
• I also have to close all multi-tasking apps frequently.

That's all I think

How does Winterboard slow down the iPhone 4?

I have to turn off the % battery display so I don't go nuts over it dropping 1% after I do something on the phone for a few mins.

this.

  • settings button has to be last icon on bottom right.of 1st page, why.idk, but thats where i like it
  • no one is allowed to touch this phone unless its near a pillow bed, couch towel or soft surface. id literally cry if it broke :(
  • i keep it in a ziploc bag in my purse if i know im going somewhere it'll be humid-ish..or may risk getting wet LOL

  • The home screen cannot be full! The bottom row has to have at least 1 icon space left.
  • Battery % is left off because I think it looks ugly
  • The lock sound absolutely has to be off

It's kind of funny, nearly all the icons on my home screen have stayed the same since 2008. I NEVER change the order of the dock and the top row, and I've really only changed about 5 icons since I first got my 3G in 2008.

Apps must be in alphabetical order

No games on home screen, even though gaming is what I primarily do on my phone...

no porn

hahahah this.

Also, for me, all of my applications have to be in alphabetical order. The home screen is frequently used apps, in alphabetical order of course. Then on the second page are my folders, in alphabetical order with the apps in them in order. On my dock, it HAS to be (from L to R), Phone, Mail, Safari, Messages. Anything other than the green, blue, blue, green pattern annoys me and makes my phone essentially unusable.

Glad to see we're all a little crazy

My dock has to stay the way Apple sets it. My first two rows have to be just apps and my second two rows have to be just folders. Messages have to be in the upper left and camera and photos have to be next to each other, as do clock and calendar. I can't leave any notifications showing, even for email. No apps that haven't been updated for the retina display can be outside of a folder. Within folders (which are categorized by type: social, games, utilities, fun, etc) apps that haven't been updated for retina display are towards the bottom right and ones that have are towards the upper left. Definitely no truncated app names outside of a folder, and I have deleted apps that truncate their names unless I really love them. I'll never have more than one screen of apps again...lack of iOS 4 on my iPad is driving me crazy. I'm not a stickler about album art or contacts being filled out, but my wallpaper and lockscreen have to go with each other and they both have to go with my case.

Oh and on my iPad the apps are in alphabetical order until it gets folders.

Cool wallpaper. Mind sharing?
Sure, here you go.
How does Winterboard slow down the iPhone 4?
I don't notice any difference at all, although the multitasking manager lags up sometimes but I don't know if that's related. But side by side with another iPhone 4, it seems the same to me.

I can't believe I still had the % on. It had become habit having it on, but I would stress about my battery all day long. Today I turned it off and it has been wonderful!

Other than that I like everything to be in its place, but I am not too bad. I don't like other people touching my phone though

This I completely agree with that. Drives me nuts.

This is probably the funniest thread I have ever read. Some of you people are crazy. I have my stuff where it lands, lands in a good spot and I'm used to using it there I keep it there but if I move it I don't go crazy or anything.

And to the person that keeps there phone in a zip lock bag, you made me laugh so hard, made my day. :D

People are crazy but I completely understand

Anyone have a slight flicker when going between the second page of apps and the first page? Should I let this bother me?

My OCD issues...

1) always checking if the +/- vol buttons still click the same or on same height from the body.

2) The power button is still level with the body case.

3) The home button is flush equally on all side.

4) No squaking sound on any part...

:D:D:D:D

Seriously, I checked all of these..DO I need a doc ?

• I can only have Apple applications on the first page.
• Settings has to be the last app on the first page.
• Whenever I leave the Phone app I have to leave it on the keypad.
• I have to leave Safari on Google. Kind of like a homepage.
• I have to have at least 4 apps in a folder. (I used to have to have 9 but I can deal with 4 now.)
• I have to close out all of the apps in the multitasking bar occasionally even though I know they aren't really being used.
• The camera app has to be in the top right since that's where it is on the phone.
• I have to go to the first page before locking it.
• I can't have an app or folder name on the home screen with ... If it's in a folder I can deal with it.
• I have two mail accounts, school and gmail. I can't use the unified inbox and I have to leave the mail app with the gmail inbox open.
• I can't have a blank home screen like I've seen people do here.

Yes! Dont think ive ever checked my buttons. As long as they work, i dont care if they are flush or not.

Then again, i think many in this thread are nuts...lol

• I clean the screen whenever I'm finished using it, even though it's wrapped in an IS
• I lay it on a micro fiber cloth , even though it's wearing a bumper & wrapped in an IS
• I can't leave any badge notifications showing for any apps
• I lol'd at how I can relate to many of these posts.
