How is your battery? How have settings tweaks, brightness, low power mode (etc) affected it? Please share all your experiences and comments - the good, bad, and ugly!

Well mines at 74% with 2hrs, 59 minutes usage and 4hrs 54min standby. Im a bit underwhelmed with the battery life at the moment =/. Heres hoping a few cycles on the battery will help.

Edit: Thanks for starting this thread, I was about to start one my self and then saw this one.

Got it on 83%, at 5PM set it up, installed apps, a handful of phone calls, geekbench'd, updated to 11.1... It's now 1am and I'm on 15%

Watching this thread as iPhone 7 Plus owner on the fence between X and 8 Plus. Loving screen size and battery life of Plus models but are too big for me.

With my usage (BT always on, wifi on) I usually come back home at 8pm with 30% left. Using mainly Whatsapp, music (through BT headphones), youtube, web browsing, email for about 4 hours a day. Apple watch always connected.

I'm curious to see how it performs compared to it with similar usage.

Problem at the moment mine is stuck on the same usage and standby

it's at 19 hours with 47% left lol

based on my first charge it's on par with the 7 plus for me if not slightly better.

Currently: 82%

Usage time:5 hr 27 min.
Standby time: 13 hr 58 min.

So far so good. It's on par with my 8 Plus. I have similar stats.

From my experience so far, I charged up to 100% for the first time last night, but after also seeing what the battery drain is like, I will be bringing my charger in my work bag today to see how long I can go. Will post results tonight.

Honestly yesterday was a wash. Today will be a good test for me. Going to a college football game.

I can’t be the first one stating this on the thread, am I?

You have to wait at least 48-72 hours before judging the battery on a new iPhone.

Your new phone is currently indexing files, downloading photos/apps from iCloud, learning your face from Face ID.

Lastly, your shiny new iPhone has been used MUCH more since it’s new to us - like a new car going out on a joy ride daily the first week.

Just relax and wait a few days before even judging the battery life. Mine has been plugged in all afternoon and evening yesterday and never went over 75%. I’ve been on it nonstop

Unplugged at 11pm CET (at 100%) and it's currently at 82% (~15h) with 15h standby and 4h usage (guess it counted before I unplugged).
Restored from my old beta iPhone 7 backup to get my Watch stuff and messages back.

trying to make this thing die but failing lol

still on 24% left.

gone over 20 hours so far.

going out at 5pm so having fast charging is huge.

I'm at 6% with a bit over 7 hours usage. Not so good. I don't understand how people are saying they are at 82% with 5 hours plus. Do we even have the same phone?

Today ended with 8h10m usage and 15 hours off the charger. WiFi and cellular usage with 30 minutes of Netflix at some point, also 8% used due to no cell service at some point.

39 percent

usage: 7 hr 27 min
standby: 20 hr 58min

Safari 57 percent
instagram 12 percent
home/lock screen 8 percent
message 8 percent
mail 6 percent
setting 3 percent
phone 2 percent.
music 2 percent
the rest 1 percent

bad?

Picked up my iPhone X on Saturday @ 2PM. I used it for the remainder of the day and charged it that night. I removed it from the charger Sunday morning around 9am and have left it on until about 7pm this evening (Monday) when it died. The attached screen shot is with 1% battery remaining.

Coming from an iPhone 6s, I'm very impressed.

usage: 6hr 27min
standby: 11hr 21min

39% remaining

This is more or less what I used to achieve with my 7 Plus on iOS 10. If this is what people get, iPhone X could become the phone I was waiting for ages...

In par with 7 Plus on iOS 10 (also, usage is similar to mine). These are great results IMO, it's a phone that lasts more than a day and in a much smaller footprint than Plus series!!!

Early days but seems at least on a par with my 7 Plus. It might even be better with screen off than the Plus, for example listening to music / radio (two things I do a lot).
As I say, early days, but encouraging.

How in the hell did you get this usage? I am looking at
56% with 4 hours and 2 minutes usage and 7 hours and 27 minutes standby.

I’ve had mine since last Friday. Had an 8+ and 7+ (8+ went to wife now). Battery has not been that great. Today, here’s the following so far. Full charge as of this morning. Now:

74%
Usage- 2hr, 28 min
Standby - 4hr, 39 min

Safari (audio?) 17%
Messages 11%
Mail w/Background Activity (7%)

Judging by the post about 82% after 5 hours, something’s off. Both the 7+ I had and definately the 8+ had much better battery life.

Anyone use the Tapatalk app for this forum? Mine is using 23% of my battery. I am wondering if it’s not working correctly with the new update.
