I see no "irony" here, nor do I see a meaningful or useful thread. Also, you may like to learn the TRUE meaning of the word "irony" before splashing it about with wild abandon. Not only do you use the word in the title, your OP doesn't even relate to it, nor even IMPLY it.

Doh.

[edit]

Further down this useless thread, are further examples of a complete misunderstanding and abuse of the word "irony". As Alanis Morrisette would say - "Isn't it ironic?" - ironic that NONE of these uses of "irony" are AT ALL examples of irony (which is why her song was so clever, if you have brain enough to have worked it out.)

Double DOH.

And people wonder why Apple doesn't disclose more of its specs.

They really can't when they're using different manufacturers. Just like back when on certain laptops there was burn in on the LG screens but not on the Samsung ones. That or when you've got the TLC VS MLC and one had higher read/write speeds.

I understand they need different manufacturers to keep up demand but when everyone is paying a premium for these devices.... Inequality is maddening.

My 6s Plus has the Samsung chip and battery life on my phone is superb. I use my phone heavily, including Google Location Reporting in the background, everything turned on, and the phone lasts longer than any Android phone I've owned (and I've owned at least a dozen). In fact, it seems to me that the 6s Plus has slightly better battery life than my previous 6 Plus, primarily due to its insanely good standby life. The battery simply doesn't drop when it's idle. To me, this is what sets iOS apart from Android in battery life because all of my Android phones have had higher than expected battery drop when idle. Sometimes as much as 5-10% an hour.

I can't believe we live in a world where people obsess over this sort of stuff. We've gotten so spoiled and pampered that we become compulsive over the silliest things. Your $900 phone isn't PER-FECT. Well neither is your $40,000 car. Neither is your big screen TV. Neither is your BODY.

You beat me to it. The expected misuse of irony is why I clicked into this thread in the first place.
