having used all 3 of the current uMBP's 13 - 17"
They are all good for their size.
The 15" is a real sweet spot for a portable notebook (screen & size combined).
But I really like the 17" screen size and real estate. especially as a portable system that replaced my desktops.

the 13" really impressed me, at first I was a little turned off by it; but since i always have used high resolution displays from the 17" MBP to the 30" ACD. It was able to do whatever I needed and with the decrease in screen real estate was a bit of a drawback but i got accustomed to it and has been much easier to port around than even the 15" and 17"

while the difference in screen DPI between 13 & 15 is minimal, you get a better compact package with the 13" and its a lot easier to pick up and go than the larger 15.

So i'd say you cant go wrong with the 13" and probably best to go with that if possible.
