sorry to hear everyone is having such problems. I got mine several thousand in and everything worked just fine. little snapper has been surprisingly useful, and i've been using eventbox (free to anyone!) for days now.

i think the biggest thing about MH is never try to get it in the first day. none of the software companies are prepared to get 2K+ serial requests in a few hours. seems to happen every time.

To be clear about this, the thread title as formed in my head had a question mark at the end. It's omission is a genuine error and I hope it was clear from my posts that I'm not overflowing with the tabloid-style rage that the title as actually typed implies...

I've now been personally contacted twice by a nice guy at MacHeist who is trying to sort me out. I've been told that my money (via PayPal) has been refunded; it actually hasn't yet but I'm sure there's some latency in the system. Anyway, I'd be highly surprised if I remain unhappy for much longer and am quite likely to take my own advice; i.e. wait a few days and order again if everything is running smoothly.

I also purchased MacHeist 2 and had no problems whatsoever. Unless my memory is flawed, that came with a version of Speed Download that was rendered obsolete almost immediately after the deal ended. Owing to the reaction to that, we were eventually offered a free upgrade to the newer version, despite obviously not having any sort of legal leg to stand on. Because of things like that, I do have faith in the MacHeist organisers as people and do not think they are running a scam; I'm just extremely annoyed that they managed to make a mistake of this scale given that they apparently had exactly the same problem last year.

Kudos to them for sorting it out though, assuming my refund does shake out of the mix at some point.

Don't let a thread like this prevent you from purchasing the bundle. Every ordering system has issues, especially when a large volume is coming in.

There are some really great apps, and it is a steal at $39.

I'll chime in as a satisfied MacHeist customer. I've purchased all 3 of the bundles and while there does seem to be some sort of drama every time I've never had a problem.

It always seems like a pretty good deal to me, but I guess if they charged my credit card 17 times I might change my mind.

While I did not purchase the current bundle, I can attest that the MH bundle is not a scam, nor are the guys who run it scammers. I have been buying bundles, participating in the heists/mini-heists and receiving a lot of free loot from them for several years now and they are absolutely on the up and up.

True, some of the apps that they have sold have gone on to become vaporware (not really their fault, blame the developers) and the "My Dream App" thing fell on it's face, but as far as the bundle goes, the group is on the up and up and have a very large, satisfied customer base. Having not purchased this bundle, I do not know the status of the missing serials/double charges that did plague some early buyers, but I have every confidence that the Directorate who run the site will make good on the purchase.

Further to this whole topic, my order is now completely settled; rather than getting the refund, my order was actually filled and I have the correct batch of serials. Which makes me now a satisfied customer (albeit a bit annoyed by the effort I had to put in).

I assume the problem is being solved as it was last year; by manually checking all placed orders. So it's not surprising that it's taking a little time.

I purchased the bundle last year. Even though I have not really used some of the software, I've still got some "to-do items" in my mind that require some of these. Maybe I am just not that good of a software shopper. :)

It's been a year since my purchase and I lost my registration key for one of the apps, but as soon as I logged in to MacHeist website, I could get it back. I am surprised they have not purged their records by now. I think this is a fine operation even though they have had some problems.

Anyways, I am interested in a few of the apps and I would definitely purchase if Espresso was unlocked, but the sales totals have not been moving much in the last few days, so I doubt it will get there. I need to decide whether it is worth it for me without Espresso.

If I recall from last year, the hurdles necessary to unlock pieces of software are quite flexible if sales end up disappointing. And the addition of Cro-Magnon Rally is nice, even though it's a bit fusty now.

I ordered this years bundle after about 10,000 buys. Very happy with the apps, especially Kinemac. Also, if someone has an interest in this year's bundle, could you please buy through my referral link? I'll remove it from my signature after I receive my two referrals.

i've been wondering something - If i buy the bundle now, and espresso ends up getting unlocked, would i get a copy? Or would I have to wait and buy it after it gets unlocked?

thanks in advance!

Yes if you buy earily and Espresso gets unlocked you will get a copy.

Finally got a response, they have reversed the failed order.

Order it a second time (riolio11 that should give you one referral) and it worked like a charm.

Very happy now.

Hooray, thanks so much!

Sorta looking like that might not happen, though. (sigh)

I remember last year everything was unlocked. Anyone know about the first year?

Everything has always been unlocked, including MH I. Even if they don't reach the Boinx TV number, they will release everything. Trust me, the credibility hit they would take if they failed to release the locked apps would permanently cripple them from ever doing another bundle again.

It is not uncommon for sites which offer bundles to reduce the unlock numbers, or simply unlock apps, if the sales numbers aren't where they wanted or expected them to be. But all of the legitimate bundle offering sites who wish to do bundles again in the future, recognize that they have to for the credibility and trust of those who bought early. Those same individuals would never buy again in the future if they actually believed they would not ultimately receive the entire offered bundle.

I ordered on March 27 and got the e-mail with all of my registration codes/links within a minute or two. No double-charges, no problems to speak of. The only thing I can't figure out is I got two referrals (says so on the site) but I don't know how to get the bonus apps you supposedly unlock for that.

Addition of Cro-Mag was nice, but I REALLY want the Delicious Library for tweeting thing. I already have all the Pedias and love them, but have wanted to give DL a try. Has anyone done the TweetBlast? What does it involve? I don't even have a Twitter account, but thinking about setting one up for this.

You provide MH with your Twitter name, you follow them, you Tweet a message about MH, then it unlocks DL. You get your serial number for DL within 72 hours of unlocking it.
