I've only joined recently mainly because I wanted to slowly get away from Reddit. The problem with Reddit is there are so many topics I'm interested in and it's almost become an addiction at this point but I still dislike the downvote feature. Of course there is that feature here but it doesn't seem as bad. This site is basically where I get my apple news and I like the Forums.

This was a fun show to listen to. I remember things like Macworld and some of the other tech from the 2000s so this brought back some nostalgia. Also, it was nice to get a history of this site.

I'm glad to know that these forums are "charming and focused."

It's true that some forum members will defend Apple no matter what. It's also true that for every move Apple makes, some forum members will find fault with it. Those on the extremes may never agree, but what makes forum discussions worth reading, and joining, are the other voices, from people looking for practical answers, trying to distinguish fact from fiction, and sharing their honest opinions.

It's also wonderful when forum members generously provide answers to technical questions. The tech world marches on, and nobody can know everything, so we depend on each other to keep up and solve day-to-day problems.

Reason I like MR cause it has the most Apple Fanboys members who dare to criticise Apple products, services and quality. Instead of loving, defending and fanboy-ing everything Apple does.

Oh, the fanboy's are here alright. Where do you think all the downvotes in this forum comes from?

This site has become my daily driver for info and industry news (and rumors) and sometimes a laugh or a good fight.. :)

This was the only site that could answer my Apple questions (especially in the early days) instead of having to always go to an Apple Store to resolve issues etc. Users seemed to always help out someone in a jam or need .

Thanks for keeping this going! A good stopping place when we are cruising the internet or need a break from the grind, or sometimes helping making buying decisions when shelling out big bucks on work needs or toys.

Keep up the good sense and not cave in to the pressures like most of the other sites..

Wow! Dr. Arnold Kim. I’ve heard of him for a long time. First time ever seeing him!

When he mentioned that back in the 2000s, Apple was very much an underdog, it reminded me of how for a very, very long time, Apple was really the underdog. I’d say that reputation at least was already solidly at that level in the late 1980s all through to the late 2000s, so over 20+ years! And look at Apple now!

If only I had bought Apple stock when I joined in 2002… I could be posting from an underwater mansion. I came over from spymac to get the scoop on the iWalk rumors and have stayed ever since. For more than 20 years, MR has been part of my morning read. Thanks @arn

I have to say that Arnold Kim and Ken Jeong are a couple of my heroes. Wise move, young doctors…(the “zzz” part of my screen name is because I used to be an anesthesiologist).

I started reading shortly after the 1st iPhone launch and haven’t stopped since. Then started an account on the forums a couple of years later to get into some of the rich discussions had on here.

This site is my go-to for Apple News or tech news in general. Even after new hires, slight shifts here and there, etc, the site has stayed true to itself.

Thanks Arnold and team!

@arn ♥️
MR members manage to break the site for every launch and WWDC, it truly is a special community. We simply can't get enough of what @arn has built.

The hype around every iPhone launch is everlasting and grows at a relentless pace. Who else track which flights their phones are on?????

I joined MacRumors when I was 13 back in 2007, but browsed the forums and news for a couple years before that. It all started when my Catholic school sold iMac G3s for $30 and I just had to have one and talk about it with others.
