The most notable thing missing is Wi-Fi hardware. The AirPort hardware was (and even still is, depending) fantastic.
  • Wi-Fi 6e
  • HomeKit router
  • Thread / matter hub
  • Private and secure
  • iCloud private relay for the whole network
  • Local backups for iOS and Mac
  • Throw some sensors in it that I didn’t know I needed (air quality? Microphone for smoke detector listening?)
  • All wall-powered Apple devices are automatically range extenders (Apple TV, HomePods, desktop Macs)
Beyond that, I’d love a “HomePod soundbar” - a HomePod in soundbar form factor with HDMI and optical audio inputs.

I’d also love for Apple to enter the home security range of IoT products - cameras, doorbells, locks, sensors. They would build products I could actually trust.

Just make me a foldable iPhone that folds out to a small tablet, so I can stay in the Apple ecosystem and not go to Android.

Mac Nano to replace the Mini, iMac and MacBook Pro.

The size of an iPhone, M3 Pro, passive cooling, all day battery, and new wireless display choices.

Oh, I can think of several things. But first off top of my head is something like a detached, wireless/bluetooth? roll-up (or compact foldable) flexible display about the size of a taquito. Stick it anywhere like a post-it note. Low power drain (MagSafe?). And it should be tile-able so multi-screen could be seamlessly sistered together say on a wall edge-to-edge for large display sizes. Running a very compact and portable 6 series iPad mini through a full wall display would be fantastic. As the vid says, nice would be some "ink" capability too - at least an option. And now with live text recognition like in photos, no reason instant readability through ink is impossible.

Every household needs a toilet. 🚽

How about :apple: Toilet.

Starting $2,499.

Each flush is sold separately with a monthly/yearly subscription.

The $2,499 is not that far fetched. Just the top (high end one in general retailer) when I was in Japan last had prices over $1,000... and I think there has been at least 50% inflation since that time -- probably more... so a full premium toilet...could come close to that price (no they don't have subscriptions... but that is not stanard Apple behaviour with hardware either).

A standard Magic Keyboard with fingerprint reader that pairs with at least 3 devices (all functionality available including fingerprint reader).

An electric car that isn't self driving. Don't waste a cent on AI. Just make a nice electric car that I can steer since I'm a human with a brain.

Also I'd like them to get into actually making Home devices - plugs, lights, doorbells and locks, etc. The HomeKit market is such garbage.

On this week's episode of The MacRumors Show, we ponder some of the devices and apps we wish Apple would make.

We discuss our wish lists, including some plausible ideas like a foldable iPhone, Apple TV soundbar, task manager and Notion-like productivity app, and even an Apple Books e-reader, as well as some outlandish devices like an Activity Rings fitness band and specific HomeKit appliances. Let us know what your dream Apple devices and apps are in the comments.

A HomePod with build in camera. Since it is already in the living room bedroom etc, it can also be used as a webcam for home security.

Full on wife beater tanks and bigger microphones.
Guys guys... You present some interesting content but please get someone to vet your wardrobe choices. What is with the white t-shirts? When sitting in front of a white wall Hartley makes some of my pasty Finnish friends look tanned in comparison. White wall, glass table, white computers, white shirts....you just need to dye your hair to complete the full Man From Glad look. Image is part of the message so get a grip.
If you're gonna do white, go full on wife-beater. Oh, and larger microphones please.

How about an Apple take on the Netgear Meural Canvas and art media subscription with full integrations with iCloud and HomeKit? Netgear has let their product go stale and flaky, so it's time Apple perfected the concept.

iLove

They should do a dating app. They are perfectly positioned to completely dominate the market by making a safe consensual efficient transparent and non predatory app.
They have the data to verify ID, they can confirm meeting, they can track location. They make their Money from the hardware, they won’t need to rinse us and manipulate our behaviour.

Glasses-free 3D display option, like my old HTC Evo 3D phone. You can switch the 3D on and off. The glasses-free 3D really worked well and was a super fun option. Not a gimmick. It's cool. No headset required.

Also... with these mics, use and adjust them properly. Or just hire a professional sound engineer, because the level and clarity is horrible.

A new Magic Mouse that charges via a magsafe mousepad.
That’s a good idea, but I don’t know if you mean MagSafe or just wireless charging. I don’t think you want your mouse magnetically attached to the mouse pad, especially in one spot lol.
