It wasn't insane, it was INCREDIBLE.Insane? WWDC was insane? Hardly. It was fine.
Agree. What's with the jumper + shorts? Were your legs feeling the Californian weather, but your torso still thought it was in Britain?
(Note: I'm in Britain, and it's currently 13º. On the 13th of June. **** this country)
Ummm….because many people are not happy about the direction the company has taken? You know…just because you like it doesn’t mean other people can’t say they don’t. One could say…why is it always the same cynical comments by more hardened fans get upvoted? It cuts both ways mate! Why is it always the same rehashed cynical comments about Apple that get upvoted? Could Apple have done better in certain areas like beefing up iPadOS? Absolutely! But I also give props to Apple where they deserve it. Their commitment to privacy in regards to their AI implementations is to be applauded, especially when competitors like Microsoft and Google continue to treat user privacy as a mere afterthought. Apple intelligence may sound cheesy, but I think it has a lot of potential for improving the ways we interact with our phones. Of course we need to wait until it actually releases to say for sure, but we should refrain judgment on that until we get our hands on it for ourselves. This is still generation one of Apple’s implementation of their Apple intelligence, and I feel like for a generation one release it seems quite promising and will only continue to improve as time goes on.
We should absolutely be critical of Apple! But it’s important to discuss both what we perceive Apple is doing poorly AND doing well in a nuanced manner. I guess what I mean to say is that there should be constructive points brought up for discourse and conversation and not simply comments like “Apple doesn’t innovate” that bring nothing useful to the table. I enjoy and welcome different perspectives and viewpoints and rather take part in engaging discussions than just bear witness to a smorgasbord of blanket statements that don’t bring value to the discussions at hand. Above all, we should be respectful of each other’s opinions and respect that everyone has different expectations, values, and perspectives!Ummm….because many people are not happy about the direction the company has taken? Does Gruber still do his talk show with Craig etc?
The higher the socks, the downer the foo!No socks. Total socks.
There is no room for compromise.
Agreed. When did sandals with socks become a thing again? No-one would be caught dead with that combo, back in my day...The feet tell me who's in what generation.. lol
Probably pulled out a brand new pair, to be on camera. I would... 🧦I need to find out what laundry detergent he uses, I have never seen such bright whites!
The western part of Europe has been bad in general. While Eastern Europe is super hotWhat's with the jumper + shorts? Were your legs feeling the Californian weather, but your torso still thought it was in Britain?

HomePod is so weak, it needs a total lift not an update. I asked it a question and Siri responded sure I’ll send the info to your Mac, what? Really, im in another room away from my iPhone and Mac, can’t Siri read it to me?Maybe I missed it, but what are Apple's plans for adding AI intelligence to Siri on the HomePods? I know Siri on the iPhone will get smarter but what about HomePods? Will it only be the new HomePod and HomePod mini and not the OG HomePod?
These "zoomer kids" are like reinventing the 1980s and not even slightly aware. STG most of them are dressed like they're about to go out on their yacht. The feet tell me who's in what generation.. lol
MacRumors is controlled opposition now, lolI remember when MacRumors wasn’t even invited to Apple Events, much less loaned a fancy studio by Apple to record their podcast. Crazy how times change. They used to hate your guts for all the leaks. Probably still do to a degree, but at least now they also recognize how useful you are to them.
Yeah, something feels off about MacRumors since WWDC this week. Maybe it’s the constant posts for every little software feature (such as “iOS 18's New Game Mode Makes iPhones Faster and More Responsive” and “Apple Maps Rivals AllTrails on iOS 18 With New Hiking Features in U.S.”) makes it feel like they are trying to sell me on something rather than just reporting independently. This coupled with actually being invited to record in Apple’s HQ makes it seem like they are acting more as a mouthpiece for Apple rather than an independent party. More so than usual anyway. Hopefully this trend doesn’t continue or get worse.I remember when MacRumors wasn’t even invited to Apple Events, much less loaned a fancy studio by Apple to record their podcast. This trend has been happening with all of journalism. Companies have realized their marketing is more effective if they subvert journalism in a democracy. Eventually almost everything will become a mouthpiece for the corporations. This is a hallmark of late-stage capitalism, and is a necessary step to usher in the collapse of modern society. That and AI eating the economy from the bottom up while destroying the environment via absurd power requirements.Yeah, something feels off about MacRumors since WWDC this week.
