Apple had to create a answer to Samsung and other companies. For the past three years, they have been lacking in the design department. I believe they were overthinking and forgot what made Apple so great. It's philosophy of being beautiful, simplistic, and everything working without a single guess has went down the drain. Simply most people would have enjoyed the iPhone X with a rear finger print scanner, no face ID, and no notch in the same body as today's iPhone X. Also, some of us here expected more software enhancements especially on the Home screen. That interface is archaic no matter how bright and colorful you make it.

I thought that when Apple designed the 7 they were getting customers used to a virtual home button for a bezeless phone, but it was ditched for Face ID. Wonder why they didn't implement that to keep Touch ID?

It's bothering me because I'm a huge Apple fan but they waited years to adapt to OLED then have the audacity to charge more then the s8 which is just as good of a phone in terms of hardware.

Why not launch just the one phone at a lower price. I don't see the justification for such a premium price even given its Apple
Translation = I want the very best Apple has, I just don't feel I should have pay what it cost, because Apple has taken years to get to this point.

Are you in business for yourself? If so, how long do you think you would last, if you placated all the people who frequented your establishment with the same mentality you have shown here?

Your post reads as very selfish with a sprinkling of entitlement philosophy on top.

So I guess I'm the only one who feels this way lol

The new iPhone X is more expensive than the latest iPad+LTE...wow, just wow...
Should smaller electronics that are just as powerful as larger ones automatically cost less because they are smaller? That is the argument you just made.

Some people are just as productive with an iPhone as others are with an iPad with LTE.

If you feel the new iPhone X is too expensive for your wants / needs, don't get it. Problem solved. Very simple.

No, you aren't. There are many here complaining with air of entitlement to their rant. All of a sudden, life isn't fair for many here, because they can't afford / don't want to buy there latest Apple has, because it cost too much (in their eyes). Before that, it was Apple builds quality products and has excellent customer service. It is worth it.

I think many are posting and not taking time to really think about what the core of their position really says. They seem to be getting caught up in the bash Apple moment, just because they can no longer justify spending X amount for a product. And when several members chime in with the same entitlement philosophy, said persons seem to think their reasoning is justified, (read: logical) even though it isn't.

1) Don't buy the new phones if you don't like them
2) Buy the phones used or refurbished if you don't like the new price

Remove the emotion from a lot of the rant posts, and what appears to be 'all of a sudden, perplexing, or frustrating..' and the clarify of the situation becomes very simple.

Lmfao. This sums up everything I hate about the iPhone X in one animation. What a POS.

Seriously?

Everyone worried about the iPhone X top section should maybe take a look at this before spouting the usual "the new iPhone sucks" nonsense.

You guys really think Apple hasn't thought this through?

Yeah they put bars in its place in most spots, the bars are predominantly white. Those margins are another issue altogether though. One might think sure just swipe up on the bottom area to go home, but if you don't swipe perfectly in that area you're likely going to accidentally scroll on your screen instead. Previously when you swiped wrongly you would hit the bezel of your phone, where you realized where the screen begins and ends, and therefore where to swipe.

With this new system there are going to be lots of people missing the home bar thing, and accidentally scrolling a lot. Tbh the touch bar home bar area just seems too small of a hit box. Haven't used it in person, but this thing is going to have some major issues for people when trying to use it in app.

All these "overpriced iPhone" threads are getting old. I paid almost a grand two years ago for a 128gb 6s Plus. I don't see pricing out of line for the iPhone X 256gb. Yes they are more then Androids, always have been. If one doesn't feel the price is justified, don't buy it. It is what it is-----
