QT & Clive Owen idea sounds killer - I'd rather see that than any Broccoli-family produced movie any day. C.O. was excellent in Croupier.

Hmm...you know Tarantino's Bond wouldn't be anything like Broccoli's. And if audiences respond to the Tarantino version, that might force Cubby to change the way he's making his films. Which would probably be a good thing.

Maybe the next Bond could be captured and subjected to mindgames by Patrick McGoohan! :p
Interesting that you mention that. I remember reading somewhere that Patrick McGoohan was offered the part of James Bond once and turned it down.

i would say it would be an AMAZING thing since Albert "Cubby" Broccoli has been dead since 1996.

Hasn't this been put to rest yet? There's no confirmation that Brosnan has quit and he's retracted any comments that might have been taken to imply any such thing.

One thing that has stood the test of time with EON is that until the ink's dry it's anyone's game, but with past performance noted, the incumbent is always by far the hot favourite.

Haven't followed too many of the more recent Bond movies, although I agree that they are a little too campy these days.

I come from the generation where Sean Connery IS Bond and everyone has has been an imposter. :p

I think they should make a Bond movie with Connery again, as an older Bond that has to come out of retirement, or is being chased by an old foe looking for revenge.

I guarantee that people would pay to see Connery as Bond again!

What is it with you that think Bond has got too campy? Have you never seen the old bonds?! Every single one with Roger Moore is up to the eyebrows in camp, and how about Connery disguised as a Japanese man! They have never been very believable and always over the top...

...but that's the point! They're fun escapist movies. Hence the theme tunes, the girls, the double entendres, the mad baddies and their madder henchman.

If anything, they've got incredibly less camp than when they started.

And iJon – I'm a little worried that you don't seem to like a film unless it makes you want to join the CIA or rob people... (although admittedly, the Bourne Identity did make me want the ability to do some crazy things...)

James Bond? Pierce Brosnan?

Sorry to kill your dreams but it is truly over.
