How do you think they were able to accept so many pre-orders and still ship a ton to stores?

Might be a stupid question, but how did you find your serial number? I don't see it listed in my order details or anything.

Ah, I think I answered my own question. This is the fiscal year/week that Apple uses, and 2011 was a 53-week year. So mine was done in the last week of FY2011. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4–4–5_calendar

Looks like mine was literally one of the first made. It's either going to be perfect (if they were paying super-close attention to the first ones coming out), or they'll have missed issues they fixed later. I guess I'll see in 48 hours.

Mine was made the 3rd week of Feb. :D
Wonder if we will temporarily have that "Glue issue" like at the iPad 2s launch.

If it doesn't matter to you, why post a response? Take what you need, leave what you don't. Not every post I read "matters" to me, but I don't try to make people justify their posts.

If there is a quality issue that's isolated to a specific production time period, it's good for people to know how to find the information. I hope that isn't the case, but you never know.

Does anyone know if the iPad 2 had yellow screen issues (yellow tint) like the iPhone 4s?

It may matter to me. I was asking because I thought there was quality issues with the first few production. Like having a January build date was a bad thing.
