When i was ordering..it said delivers no later than 5 days after release. So i don't know if this is different than prior launches
 
Almost went through on iPhone app... white screen, online store down, looks like we crashed the site.
 
Why doesn't Apple just create a virtual line for ordering.. it's really not that hard.
 
This is why they SHOULDN'T be launching for all those countries at the same time. They need to get it right the way they've always been doing it first before being this ambitious.

They haven't announced whether it'll be released at 9am or 5pm right?

My UPS/FedEx guys always come to my house in the evening at the end of their route. I would much rather go pick it up at the store in the afternoon if that was possible.
 
gave up trying to load the website or the apple store app, just wasn't worth it, called them instead. It took 8 calls, but I got through eventually after being politely disconnected like a previous poster said. Not sure if you could qualify this as a step in the right direction though, I've been on hold for 13 minutes and 25 seconds as of now. Getting a black 64gb Wifi one if I ever get to talk to an actual person.
 
does anyone know if you'll be able to order 2 iPads on the same order? Need one for me and one for my sister.

Uh, each country has it's own store, that isn't the issue.
 
Well, I made it through using the iPhone app. Ordered Wi-fi 64 GB model. Delivers on March 16. E-mail confirm received.
 
I got through on the iPhone app and it said they would send me a confirmation email. Everything went through. I haven't received the email yet, though. Does it usually come right away or do I have to wait?

Edit: Just got it!

When checking out via the app it says no pick up option available.
 
Store would only guarentee 16th-20th for delivery. Damn, most of us would have got thru on the iphone app but they pulled down the entire store too soon.
 
MEANWHILE....Thousands of senior citizens are placing their iPad pre-orders by calling the 800 number.
