Really? That was only when their servers were experiencing high traffic volumes and it shouldn't be occurring now.
As for me, I still haven't received a shipment notification after an entire week.
Both mine were ordered on the 7th, (both 64GB 4G White-one ATT, one Verizon)
They both show on the Fedex tracking as "picked up". They are in Nashville with a delivery date showing 3/16 by 4:30 pm.

Mine has been sitting in Nashville for days now. Can't wait to see it start making its way to Orlando!!
For the iphone 4s and the ipad 2, the early status and shipping notices don't really have much of a relation to reality. Unless someone screws up you'll have it friday, and it's probably not where fedex/ups/apple is saying it is right now.
Yeah. I live in Portland. Obviously our pads are gonna have to leave LA soon.
Probably tonight or in the morn they start to head north.
The good news...
We are obviously seeing a trend in the last few hours. They're starting to move them from big regional hubs to individual cities around the US.
Come tomorrow around this time, I would imagine all iPads set for a 16TH delivery, will be in your city, ready for loading by the morning crews.
Wouldn't be at all surprised if FedEx has several dedicated trucks, just for iPad delivery on the 16th, in each major city. It would make sense from a truck packing standpoint.

I think it's a sign that I should not keep refreshing my browser hoping for a status change to Shipped... the Apple Store website is down for me
iPad is officially in transit!
my iPad is officially in transit listed as standard overnight shipping also. left at 8PM today and is about an hour away from my location. it was being held at a storage center up until today but it is listed as in transit so i might just receive it tomorrow! it says overnight shipping and the future delivery request is gone on my status.

My iPad preorder (ordered the day it was announced) has been stuck/hasn't left Alaska for days now (the 10th was the last update).... Fingers crossed it just isn't being updated?? Hrm....
Are the majority of y'all seeing it move closer to your destinations by now? I'm on the East Coast - so I figured surely by Wednesday it would "move"...

I have the same issue but opposite lol, mine is in Kentucky and needs to be shipped to the west coast, and the last update was at 1:12 AM when it arrived in Kentucky...
My iPad is still in a storage facility in southern Cali. Since I live in Southern, Oregon I'm a bit worried - I need to leave on the 17th so I'm really holding out for Apple fulfilling their 16th promise.

If I could do a dance and not look stupid, I would. I just got an email that says my 32GB Black AT&T LTE iPad has shipped! Just picked up from Ontario, CA about 40 minutes ago.
Eek! See, our iPads need to switch places! lol. Funny you're came from Alaska to the East Coast -- only to travel back! I'm definitely closer to Kentucky than Alaska. I wish mine were in Kentucky! I said I'd give it till Wednesday night - well, now that lil "uh oh!" is showing up.
I hope y'all get your gadgetry goodness on Friday. I'm not sure If I should call tomorrow or leave it & see. Though - if mine is still in Alaska on Friday... I may crawl in a hole. Lol. Jk

still in Alaska. HrmWhen did your's move out of Alaska? FedEx or UPS? Mine is UPS.
No need to worry. They are all being airlifted. Even if yours is in Alaska and your on the East coast. Planes are fast.

Still setting in a FedEx truck in Nashville -- with my luck when it finally gets to me it will be loaded with 1000 country and western songs from the chuck wagon gang.

You should see some updates soon. Even mine is finally in transit now. I'm outside Portland. You'll get yours on Friday just like I will.
