Mine's still in Middletown, PA and hasn't moved since Sunday when it was shipped. No biggie, but will be happy when it starts moving. The only Apple order that I've ever had that has been late was the iPad 2, and that was shipped UPS, so I blame them. haha. FedEx has always been pretty reliable. But it's fun to watch when it starts moving.

Mine (as others) left Ontario/Mira Loma early this morning. It's now in Oakland (probably dumping off some pads)....I'm in Portland with an on schedule delivery set for tomorrow 
I would think it'll be here in Portland by tonight, for a early morning load into the delivery trucks

Why does Apple hate educators?
I ordered mine on the 7th as soon as possible through my university. Unfortunately, Apple treats education orders differently. They are saying that my order will not ship until Friday or perhaps next week. Right now I'm still in the "processing" stage. I'm trying to be patient, but it's very difficult.

It's only 1 day early...not sure what the shock is?? Don't doubt it at all. Even he's full of it. I'm sure some people here in the states (other than reviewers) have one in hand.

Mine is STILL in Louisville KY, since 9/10. I know they must have this system perfected this time around but I wish it would start heading to NY

Cost of shipping
Though I know Apple didn't pay this price I ran the UPS shipping calculator for Shenzhen, China to my hometown 5 days travel and it was $111. The reality is that they could have had it sitting at my door in two days.
I wonder if we could call FEDEX and UPS and ask them to charge are iPads while they are just sitting on the dock

Update: Mine departed Mira Loma, CA and is now at Fedex in Memphis. Just waiting for its flight to the Fedex hub in Great Falls, MT tonight. Then it hops on another flight into Missoula, MT early tomorrow.
Oops - sorry for that. But on the other hand you can write anything you want into the EXIF. I don't say it's impossible his iPad arrived, but it could be also his coworkers messing with him...
After my iPad started moving from Nashville, the Hold at Location option became available. After making the change due to worry about being in class while the package is delivered, I called fedex to verify. The lady confirmed that the iPad would be waiting for me at the location tomorrow. Also, I asked whether it was true that apple requires one delivery attempt before holding at a location. She said some companies do require that, but apple is relaxed in that regard.
She also said that they received a notice from apple that all of the ipad shipments should be indirect signature required instead of adult signature. SO the fedex drivers will treat them as such.

I'm in Tucson, AZ and mine went from Ontario to LA last night.
Today it continued on to Memphis TN. Wow, now back to Phonix tonight

First couple of pics were my coworkers playing a joke with another iPad 2 box that someone in the office justot. Since I was out of town, they thought it would be funny to try to trick me into believing apple had sent me an iPad 2. Only the last pic I posted is actually of my new iPad. I didn't look closely enough at the pictures and posted them here. So joke's on me.

I hate the waiting game. It looks like my iPad is still sitting in Louisiville, KY... I am guessing they are waiting on a plane bound for Dallas. One just landed from Dallas so I wonder if it is returning there today... Might Be... Stay tuned...
