mine must be with yours.

If I'm not mistaken, Lufkin, Tx is served from the Shreveport ramp. You might not see any scan activity until the night sort flight out of Memphis. That should be around 3 to 4 am.

I was checking that live air flight tracker. Do Fedex parcels only travel on FedEx planes or do they also ship via regular airlines?

Only 1 more FedEx flight from Memphis to Minneapolis--mine has to get here to Minnesota tonight for delivery tomorrow.

Only on FedEx flights or trucks. If it travels on a regular passenger flight, then is was missorted. Since MSP is a fair distance from Memphis, it will be on a FedEx flight.

News alert

FedEx is now incorporating Pizza delivery in conjunction with its regular delivery services in order to help with increasing gas prices. Tipping is appreciated. So it might help to order a supreme pizza to assure prompt delivery of your New iPad.

;)

Same here, and I live in Folsom.

But sorry, it's very unlikely you will get it before tomorrow. All the past preorders I've gotten say "out for delivery" first thing the morning of delivery.

I'm suspecting FedEx will truck a bulk shipment from Oakland to West Sac tonight, then load them on the delivery trucks early in the morning tomorrow.

Yeah, you're not getting it today. It's coming FedEx Express and there is no Express in West Sac. Just sayin'.

Redman yours will be going to Rancho Cordova before it goes to to your house/work.

Finally, my iPad is on the move. It's been in Middletown, PA for days and it's finally heading towards upstate NY leaving Harrisburg, PA.

Same here. I live in upstate NY and after finally! leaving Middletown, PA it took a quick trip through Harrisburg, PA and is currently taken a bit of a break in Newark, NJ since 6AM this morning. I suspect it will leave Newark late tonight and arrive at my local depot around 4am. Plenty of time to get it on the truck and out for delivery.

Mine just left Indianapolis, IN at 3:26 PM today. I am in Columbus, OH which is about 168 miles west of me. So it looks like I am good for delivery tomorrow.

Yes and Yes... They have there own fleet but sometimes do ship on commercail airlines if they need extra cargo space or dont have enough cargo for a full plane to a destination.

Well, not really. If they don't have enough space on the aircraft, FedEx will do what is called "alternate routing". They will fly the extra freight on an existing flight to the nearest city that has regular FedEx flights. They will then truck that freight to its originally schedule airport. I have to do this all of the time (I work for FedEx). For example, the flight from the Indianapolis hub to Houston is almost always full. So, FedEx will put that extra freight on a flight to Dallas, if there is room. Once the freight arrives at DFW, I will then take the freight halfway to Houston and meet the Houston driver and give him my trailer of freight. He then takes it back to Houston where it will be processed and delivered, albeit late.

I'm in AZ too, now I have people to commiserate with, as mine is also now in Oakland. :) I'll be Ctrl-F5'ing the Fedex tracking site all evening tonight. I just want to see the happy words, "Out for Delivery" tomorrow morning.

Yep, same here! :D

I'm in Tucson, AZ and mine went from Ontario to LA last night.
Today it continued on to Memphis TN. Wow, now back to Phonix tonight
And Tucson tomorrow. Now that's weird #

Looks like ours are taking two different routes. I'm in Phoenix, though. Mine just left Oakland about 1-1/2 hrs ago. But none of the fedex flights line up with the time it left!?

Hmmm...there was a SWA flight to PHX that departed a min after mine left...

And for those who are watching UPS out of Louisville, KY here is the flights... a bunch of stuff has left there in the past few hours... Though nothing to me in Dallas, TX yet...

http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS?;offset=0;order=ident;sort=ASC

You can change carriers to FedEx there and see where there aircraft are too (Memphis is there hub).

Also a look at the weather in Louisville is not real great right now which may delay some of these flights... I am not thinking its going to push back any ship dates but they may be late leaving Louisville or have to route around these storms when they get up there...

Mine's going to be a while :( I ordered one on the bus ride to our coming home ceremony from Afghanistan on the 12th :)

You bet. Every time a iPad launch goes on there is always someone who states they got one first. Granted it could happen and all I want is for him to show more proof. Nothing wrong with that, and should not be a problem for him if he did in fact actually get it delivered today.

----------

That does not mean anything, it could have been a label from one iPad delivered to a Apple Store ready for tomorrows launch. Yes the iPad in the picture is real, I am not debating that. I am just wanting proof that it was delivered to his office. Those pictures could be from a Apple Employee.
Think about it. Lets see the proof.

Tomorrow, EVERYONE will have it. Breathe:D
