It's truly staggering to think of the crush Apple's servers must experience after media events.

I think it's impressive that the homepage even loads at all, much less serving HD videos about the new product without buffering time.

I called the 800 number to preorder but the rep said I had to call back after the conference. I want to get a Verizon style. Will they be taking preorders or should I just start refreshing apple's site?

It'll go back and forth between the two. Has been for a little while.

It was doing that for me every other time. Now the 'Well be back' loads instantly everytime and it does not go back and forth for me anymore.
