I wouldn't say they look the same, you can just tell that the 5 draws on the 4. Its a progression.

Like the Lumia 900 to 920...close but different. When you have a great design, you don't redesign you just improve on it.

I guess we're doomed for all eternity to have some fool dredging up this most ridiculous and impratical of mockups... Please. A five year old can see every thing that's wrong with this design. Just stop the insanity.
 
I'm really hoping for the black version they go with a black or gunmetal aluminum for the back of the phone. The regular gray one with the black at top and bottom in the leaked pictures looks gross. The light gray aluminum is fine for the white version, but the black one needs a darker metal.

And hopefully with when they redesign the MacBooks they can make them match the new iPhone, and have MacBooks in black and white versions.

I had a black iPhone 4, and then a white one. Then I got a black 4S and regretted it. I never realized how much fingerprints meant to me until I went from white>black. :/
 
I was going to make a thread about this just now.

If Apple indeed decides to use a lighter grey for the aluminium back cover for the black iPhone 5, it would be a disaster in terms of taste. The contrast between the light grey and the pure black would just be too big of a difference.


Unfortunately, the leaked photos pretty much all hints towards a lighter grey aluminium back cover. While the white iPhone 5 looks awesome, the black ones look horrible.


Hopefully these leaks are not the final product and that the light grey back cover for the white iPhones has been installed onto the black iPhone. I am sure Apple has good enough taste to know this.

Sorry but these types of responses are stupid. I'm not calling you stupid, simply your response. You're telling me if you put the 2 phones side by side you can't tell the difference? The two phones look nothing alike and response such as yours are simply flat out fabrications of fantasy.

I love the new, original desIgn and will be picking up a few.

If you look at this image and really knew nothing about iPhones, one might think the right image - iPhone 4S - was the more recent design as a progression of the one on the left....smaller, beautiful glass rear panel etc. I am not a fan of the small strips on the top and bottom of this iPhone 5 mockup nor the increased length.

Seriously. I was planning on getting the new iPhone but feel as though i'll be really miffed when a year later a better design comes out. Won't be hard to top this year's phone (unless they decide to bring about an iPhone 5S, in which case, we'll have this design for 2 years).
 
The iLabFactory images look most legit. Or they look most like something Apple would release. The contrast of the other tones is terrible.
