What's all the stress about? It's ONLY when using Windows the POSSIBLE problem occurs. Well last time I checked Apple don't ship there computers with Windows... so you can't shout at them as in there OWN products it works fine. And has anyone stated if this problem affects ALL versions of Windows or just Windows 7?

Whoever coined "turbo boost" should get canned.

Intel had a different name for it, then they discovered that the acronym was the French equivalent of "STD", and decided it was a bad idea, so went with "Turbo Boost" at the last minute. (Quite literally. The name change was made less than two days before release. Marketing material that was already printed had to be changed.)

So let me get this straight, it's only the 13" model, only the i7 variety of the 13" model and only if you run an OS that isn't native to the computer (i.e. Windows)?

I'm pretty much just gonna point out that a driver update will probably fix the problem. So really, who cares?

So OP using a questionable source for the thread and its not even a problem with osx its with windows there is nothing wrong with the turbo boost as it was meant to function.

Once again, the problem is not with Windows. The problem is that Apple disables TurboBoost in boot camp on MBP 13" i7 machines. TurboBoost works fine on Windows on HP laptops (and even in boot camp on MBP 13" i5 laptops).

No, it does not. Anandtech's report adds to the whole picture which is that, once again, in the quest for form (over function) Apple uses nice looking but poorly cooled cases which lead to CPUs working under sub-optimal conditions. In some cases, CPUs get too hot for turbo-boost.

No thats a crock. Apples temps are normal for these cpu's. Do some research instead of this nonsense from PC Pro.
