I nearly gave up on Fringe about halfway through the first season. It was clearly The Walter Show, and he's too insane to carry a show as more than comic relief. I did not care about Peter and Olivia enough to remember their names at the time. It was monster-of-the-week, and the formula of the show was to have Peter and Olivia have an ultimately pointless chase scene for ten minutes before Walter had a convenient flash of mad scientist insight to incrementally advance the plot in time for the act break. It was a little dull.

I relate all this only so you know where I'm coming from when I say they've fixed that.

They sure did.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can catch up here.

A refreshing change from all the crazy Lost web sites that had nothing to do with the show.

@pilot I have been...I always have the glyph table open during episodes. :D

Last episode's glyph was BETRAY

I <3 Fringe haha :) I'm in the process of learning the theme song on the piano. It's really quite beautiful. I urge you to listen to the full version.

Supposedly this was a "new" episode but Charlie was in it. Was it supposed to be seen as a flashback? Or continuity error?

This Monday episode was an unaired one from season one. I guess they needed to fill programming space, but it was weird.

Correct, it was an episode from Season 1 that was never aired. Still trying to decide whether or not this gives us any more information as far as where we currently are in the big picture.
