MAYBE the time capsule finally shipping, MAYBE the AppleTV update, but honestly for those, I don't think the store would need to go down at all, let alone two hours. I really think this might be the MBP!

Yes. looks like it is US only :( looks like many of us waiting for a MBP will be very disappointed.... French/Swiss German and Spanish store still up.

How ever, won't be the fisrt time Appli update us store before EU store :D

When the US apple store is down for a new product, usually only the US store (and sometimes the Canada store) is down, not any of the other international stores. I can't tell whether the other stores have any downtime before updating...

but it's always like that, every time. The US and Canada stores go down for update, all the other stores stay up. Then the US store comes back, we all get disappointed because apple has added another model in the iPhone line or made a vomit coloured iPod, then the other worldwide stores update over their respective nights.

South African store takes about 2 weeks to update after US..but that's South Africa.

It's not "always" like that at all. Maybe sometimes.

What happened LAST WEEK with the iPhone updates, was the US store went down first, then soon after the UK store and others went down (people were reporting it in their respective countries).

THEN - they all came back up, with the US store being updated. BUT, on the UK store at least, nothing had been updated (it happened a few hours later). But the stores WERE all down at the same/similar time. I know, because I was doing the same thing I'm doing right now - constantly refreshing both the US and UK stores (sad, I know!).

Hey there!

howdy

that's better than watching a good movie!!! :)

well, what I asked myself --- when would they update the MacbookPro site in the Mac section of the apple.com then?

Have you every experienced that. How does that happen? After the store has been updated?

and good luck

Yeah, after/at the same time. The homepage will be updated as well probably, with all references to the "old" model on the Apple site also being updated.

The reason the Store has downtime is presumably to stop people from ordering during the "transition"?
