I am probably deciding on to take up the EPP Scheme or looking else where for discount. If I am getting through EPP, I will go for the 2.5GHz MBP. Sounds more worth to get that model rather than base model. As the price for the MB Black and MBP base model is a vast diff just for the V Ram and all the minor update.

Well this thread has been overpowered by the flock of new ones, surrounding last nights MBP Update. I knew this thread would soon die and sink to the bottom of the ocean.
I would first just like to say a big Thank you to everyone who participated in this thread and for the support each one of you have given to your fellow MBP Waiters regarding the long anticipated update. I hope the update has satisfied you for the meantime and I hope you enjoy your new toy and for those who are waiting for shipment, I hope the wait is short!
About 2min ago I just processed my order to Apple for my first Mac
I ordered a nice and shiny MBP:
2.5Ghz
200GIG HD
Matte Screen
2GIG RAM
w/ the Apple Remote
Wired Mighty Mouse
Wired Mac Keyboard
Soon to order an STM Bag.
Right now I feel very excited but at the same time thinking: 'Wow thats a lot of money, is it worth it? I know it will be worth it because next year I plan to go and study Design. I know there will be updates on the horizon but this new machine will serve me well for a few years to come.
Thankyou once again to everyone for making this thread a happy place to be! I'm sure you will here more from me when my MBP arrives, as I will be the worlds biggest Newbie and will ask many questions to help me survive.

I think that's highly hypocritical. Why didn't you "Buy now, enjoy now" rather than waiting for the Penryn MBPs?
Many might think that buying a hastily updated MBP (which has the same case case design as much older machines) without waiting for an updated motherboard that fully supports the 45nm chipset would be 'stupid'.
But they probably don't tell you that.
