Well, this just made my decision alot simpler. Now if I go with the BlackBook or the MBP, I get the 2gb RAM and 250gb HD that I was going to upgrade to anyway.

The extra 2GB RAM is only £240 rather than £450 as it was...

I'm not sure of the conversion, but I'll bet you could still find RAM cheaper elsewhere.

Your right, but to keep it simple I am gonna order it allin,. I can put it down as a business expense so will pay the tax man less 😀...and it means I don't have to do anything to it.

I've been wanting another Mac notebook for a few weeks now. I was almost off to to the store to pick one up last night and I thought I better wait till this morning. Yes, 2.4 GHZ plus the 2MB and the bigger drive is now worth the price.

Again, not sure of the conversion rate but in AU Apple charges an extra $1000 to upgrade to 4gb RAM (well used to, I can't see the store now)
In comparison, I can get 2gb Kingston RAM modules for $72 each.

Seeing the specs, I just wanna order the MBP, despite it being bigger than my current PB-G4.
I am so torn between the Black MB and the MBP. But the LED Widescreen and the anti-glare is what I am always hoping for. Especially now with new GFX VRam.

Just asked a UK store representative and the new macbook pros do have 256, 256 and 512 graphics RAM. They just need to update site.

Same here, but I opted for the 2.6 and the extra 2GB RAM...
