I saw this show for the first time last night, I was glued to the TV. I was glad to see Tom go, and that Sarah chick is a real b*tch

Yeah, but Sara knows how to play the game - she doesn't get all wrapped up in estrogen dramatics. She is there to win, not make friends, and I have a certain level of respect for that.

BTW, I couldn't make a poll out of this - I tried.

so he's living in the late 80s i guess? is he the one who was in jail? what was he in for? i love how the head chefs taunt him with "do you want to go back to jail?" as though if he doesn't cook well they are going to send him back. hah

No, Garret was in jail - which should make it nearly impossbile to get a job as the head chef in a casino, I would think, right?

garret and keith seem like the same person to me. hah

do you know what he was in jail for?

why couldn't he work at a casino? seriously. does that violate parole and such?

that muppet Keith calls himself "K-Grease"

it does appear that he somewhat knows what to do in a kitchen though...

k-grease, ahh yes... i thought it was something fancier than k-man. either way. stupid.

so which ones have any cooking ability? heather seems to be the consensus most skilled one... rachel seems pretty low, or at least, the show has highlighted her bad performances thus far..

"Q: Can I work in the gaming industry if I am a convicted felon?
A: Criminal history (arrests, citations, indictments, summons, etc.) and convictions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine suitability to work in the gaming industry. Depending on the type of arrest, conviction, etc., and other determining factors, it is possible that a convicted felon may work in the gaming industry"

I like the guy who's pants are always falling down, he seems like a total scumbag, but he's a good chef..

He CAN cook, but the big question is when will the heart attack come? Besides being in the "1997 Official Galoot Guide", the poor guy moves like a bag of rubber bands. He won't make it.

well i don't want to hijack the thread... so if you need something to entertain you while you "work" during the day, i can mail you a dvd of the episodes... do you at least know the premise? it was freaking awesome, assuming you like cocky people being embarrassed on national TV. ;)
Lori and I watched HK for the first time tonight. The commercials did not do this show justice. It really is the first time I've ever seen a reality show where someone puts people in their place because he is demanding of quality, rather than just for show.

That being said, I remember watching Obnoxious Boss back when it aired, but then they suddenly stopped airing it. Maybe I can borrow the DVD after Gary is done with it...:)

woops, i missed it today :(

it'll probably be on at 8 next week (before the new episode)

nbs- they stopped showing it, and then aired the final episodes on their website for a few weeks. i found copies of all the episodes. the ending is priceless......

I personally hate that chef. To me he doesn't have the street cred to be yelling at people like that. Now if it were Emeril or Wolfgang Puck I could respect it more. Maybe it is just because I have never heard of Ramsey before that show.

I love Iron Chef though:D

I guess this is the usual American = the World thinking. Go outside the US and people would be asking "Wolfgang who?". Globally, more people would be familiar with top names in British or French cooking than top US chefs (unless you count 'professional homemakers' such as Martha Stewart).

I'm not keen on Ramsay the personality but I do go to his restaurants quite often. Can't fault the food I suppose although I never did really reconcile being able to cook and swear at the same time with increased celebrity. Perhaps it's because the swearing is from passion about the food, which is something he does definitely seem to show. I would imagine the US versions are bleeped out, right?

OK, last week's episode replays at 8 EST, with the new episode at 9 EST.

I just watched some of Ramsay's "Boiling Point" episodes on YouTube.

Holy cow is he fierce.

Im coming to this thread kinda late but I love this show as well, Im just mad I missed last season. Tonights show was good, but I wish he'd fire Sara already I can't stand her.

All I have to say about tonight is

"Would you kindly take your breasts off my hot plate, how do you expect me to serve food with those things on there"

Best quote of the season :)
