Grammar. I seriously can’t decode what you’re saying. Look into what? Really. It doesn’t make sense. Incomplete thoughts. Elaborate if possible.
I mean...are you talking about Ohio State specifically, higher education in general....
You may need to have someone else read your post and help you convey what you’re trying to say.

In fact it's the exact opposite. https://www.osu.edu/ More to the point @tich was highlighting the running joke in the sports world that is OSU making such a big deal about "THE" in The Ohio State University. It's pretentiousness and all that.

Isn't it kind of like how they sometimes call Batman "THE Batman?" I always thought that was a little weird. His NAME is "Batman." When he doesn't have his suit on, they don't call him "The Bruce Wayne." Furthermore, it's not "The Superman" or "The Wonder Woman." What is it about the name Batman that lends itself to this "THE" nonsense?

Similarly, the name of the university in Columbus, Ohio is abbreviated "OSU." It's not "TOSU." And are there really any prestigious universities which use the word "THE" in front of their names? "The Harvard University?" "The Yale University?" Really?

The article (“the”) made it into the official name when enacted by the legislature in 1878:

However, the "The" was actually part of the state legislation when the university was renamed in 1878. The following excerpt is from the Board of Trustee minutes:

"...the educational institution heretofore known as the 'Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College,' shall be known and designated hereafter as 'The Ohio State University.'"

Nah, it's nothing like that. It's entirely intentional and just as pretentious as I said it was:). Source
Why are we called "THE" Ohio State University"?

In 1986, a new University logo was introduced in the hopes of moving away from the "OSU" symbol, which had been used since 1977. The change from simply "OSU" was said to "reflect the national stature of the institution." University officials wanted the institution to be known as "The Ohio State University," again, since OSU could also mean Oregon State and Oklahoma State University.

Those who wanted the name change thought the original name was too narrow in scope, and that it was inadequate for the institution that was the only beneficiary of the land grant act. President Edward Orton was insistent that a new name would separate the institution from other colleges in Ohio.

Legend also has it that "The" was used to show the other colleges which institution was supposed to be the leader in the state - both in size and in financial support from the legislature.

Actually it is frequently referred to as tOSU especially in reference to sports. Usually this is to distinguish it from lesser OSUs in Oregon and Oklahoma. :p

Ohio State University today announced that it has worked with Apple to create a comprehensive, university-wide digital learning experience that includes an iOS design laboratory and opportunities for students to learn coding skills.

Called the Digital Flagship University, the initiative will include an effort to integrate learning technology into the entire university experience. Along with the aforementioned iOS design lab, which will be available to faculty, staff, students, and members of the broader community, the university will aim to help students "enhance their career-readiness in the app economy."

Apple CEO Tim Cook commented on the partnership, and said it will give students access to Apple's new coding curriculum.Ohio State University's Digital Flagship University will launch in the 2017-2018 academic year, with the design lab set to open in a temporary space in 2018 before moving to a more permanent location in 2019.

Starting in 2018, first-year students at the Columbus and regional campuses will be given an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, as well as apps, all funded through the university's administrative efficiency program. Swift coding sessions will begin during the spring semester of 2018.

The iOS design lab will provide technological training and certification to students and community members who are interested in developing apps in Swift.

Ohio State University also plans to integrate Apple technology into other areas of the university, introducing a chemistry course where students can complete assignments online with iTunes, debuting iPads for journalism and biology students, and more.

Oh wait didn't they have something like this already called iTunes U which they messed up by removing content (PDF and Course materials)!? bi-directional would've been nice.

Looking forward to seeing just how this will work.

It is saddening that some colleges (like mine) would rather invest in non-educational programs, such as football, rather than having this awesome collaboration with Apple...

Don't be. Non-educational programs would benefit students' health but this would benefit Apple only.

This coding initiative isn't about being altruistic and help bettering the world. It's because technology companies want to drive wages down for software engineers.

Go Bucks!

In the future, warp theory will be taught in middle school. Except in Turkey, as their students will not be smart enough.

This would have been cool if the program was available when I was a student. It's great that current students will have an opportunity like this. I do think that these programs should be started in grade school. Imagine what a high school student could accomplish by the time they reach college if they started earlier?

The "the" is a running joke but I believe there is a pride in saying "were 'THE' University of Ohio..." in a way.

FWIW, some universities do need that drum up more funds. However, I do acknowledge that some take it way too far. My alma mater calls me up every year to solicit donations. I can at least specify I want it to go to the CS department.

The Ohio University looks like what an Apple Store would look like if it were a library.
I would prefer this to an Apple Store. Your typical AS is clean and modern, but after seeing this, I'd prefer more colors for a less sterile looking environment is all.

TOSU was also involved in a very progressive program in the 80's with Apple and the local K-12 schools in Columbus called SummerTech. It put a lot of equipment (Apple ]['s) into teachers and students hands, with all of the equipment being used for a technology camp, the summer before it was put into service. At the time WSJ and other major publications covered this innovative program. Congrats to all the people behind this initiative.

Oh you're right, Ohio State doesn't have a football team. I forgot.
