I have to not-buy those at point of purchase. If I bring a little packet home I eat the whole thing in a day or so.

I like cashews as adornment of stir fries sometimes but have to keep them in the kitchen on a high shelf meanwhile.

Lately for me my craving has been for hummus, with some lightly warmed naan if I'm not so ravenous as to just stand there with a spoon eating out of the hummus container and the fridge door open, gee. All that work in the garden trying to get ready to plant out some stuff makes me super hungry by lunchtime. I have these ideas about a green salad with a few crumbles of feta and maybe a little leftover chicken but then I open the fridge and see the hummus and think well I could have that salad later... gimme a spoon!

Lemon butter sauce. Oh lord, I could eat rusty nails covered with this stuff. I won't... unless said rusty nails are actually food grade oil sprayed chocolates.

Or you could be like me and buy the 62 oz. containers (regular or peanut) from Costco, Sam's, any restaurant supply...

I like the peanut ones. The caramel ones (new) aren't nice at all. Mints are alright if you're into chocolate mint. The peanut butter ones are grotesque. And, call me nasty if you must, but I love the dark chocolate mini baking M&Ms that are tiny and bitter. Rare to find those though.

Way too many kinds, if I'm honest - basically any food I like, I can binge eat like nobody's business.
Utz sells their snacks by the box in bulk. Just a giant bag filled with popcorn, potato chips or pretzels. ;) I recommend the 6 lb sourdough box.

What were your symptoms?
Glad you made it out ok. :)

One day, on the bus on my way to school I started feeling sharp pain, really really sharp, at the side of my belly, similar to kidney stones but still substantially different.
At a certain point as I felt I was passing out by the pain, I just fell on the ground, asking for help. I also threw up a little bit. Thankfully people alerted the driver who called an ambulance, with the only side effect that I basically stopped a lane during rush hour in Milan.
When they tested me at the hospital they found out that all my sugar levels, pressure, and sodium levels were completely off the charts (and I rarely eat sugary stuff, or other salty things). They asked me what I had for dinner etc, and once I told them my daily intake of popcorn they said that it was the likely cause (they also mentioned that it might’ve also caused some of my awful headaches, I guess something related with high carbs). They strongly suggested me to stop, and so I did for a good while. Now I eat them in moderation, preferibly air popped.
Scary thing they said that at the beginning that the cause was bouillons, apparently many end up at the hospital because they eat them like candy (eww).

Why in the world would they do that? I thought the Italians had lovely cheap street food to consume? Why leave something as simple as arancini for salty cubes of vaguely flavored, poo colored blocks? Maybe it's me but I always enjoyed those gooey rice balls. Usually have them with pickled veggies and not that red marinara sauce. Too sweet.

I love Arancini! Sometimes my wife prepares them, usually with some homemade ragù sauce.

Tabbouleh for me in summer... I've been making it lately with chopped "herb salad mix" type of greens instead of just parsley, it's great that way. Necessity was the mother of invention one afternoon... Then I realized the mixed greens made the tabbouleh more interesting, so now I'm hooked on using the greens if I do have them around.

Quite fond of organic gummy bears recently.

I've found a decent brown rice with enough starch to rival arborio. Except it's creamier. I've found if you freeze balls of it for 90 days at a time, it's easier to fry a couple dozen up if you've got guests coming over. If you can vacuum seal them after freezing, even better.

Apples and bananas, lots of them. Some kinds of protein bars too :)
It goes in periods and sort of what kind of training I'm doing most which becomes the predominant fruit.
Alongside with greens, greens and more greens. And of course, Avocados.
More Apples when it's lighter training, more bananas as they contains more calories, when it's more sweat.
Love all kind of berries too, into the smoothies with them. :p

This summer, local seasonal fruit. The apricot harvest was very bountiful this year, the ones from Valais (the canton where the famous Matterhorn is located) are very juicy and full of flavour. I have eaten a half a kilo at a time.

Agreed.

I love both prawns and shrimps; actually, I am very partial to the entire crustacean family.

Love apricots, and can eat them in any shape, size or form.
