My friend ordered his 16gb YESTERDAY on AT&T's website, and have an expected delivery date of....... TODAY by 3pm

I think it's safe to say that if you're in the US, buy through the att website. It's much faster.

made a stop in alaska and now has been in memphis in usa

the 2-3 weeks is estimated so people don't complain, but they get here pretty quickly

most people i know got theirs in a week or so

I am sorry my comment doesn't meet your needs. However, neither the thread's title nor the original post state in an explicit manner that this thread was made only for people outside of the US.

With that in mind, it may not help you but it may help thousands of other people browsing through the forums.

Nope it doesn't state that explicitly, but if you'd've read all posts, you might have noticed it.

You guys fail when it comes to research. 5 minutes of searching would lead you to find out that buying from ATT website can get you the phone in 3 days. I ordered mine 8/8 and will arrive today 8/11. Look at the pic for proof.

You fail when it comes to reading comprehension. Of all the responses in this thread, only one response explicitly mentions that his/her order was in the US.

As soon as AT&T starts selling and shipping unlocked phones in Ireland, the UK, or Canada, then please let us know.

There is no problem in deliveries inside the USA because it is locked and the local company is taking care of distributing.

This thread was mainly for Canadians, because this is our first shipments of Iphones 4 via online store which are supposed to deliver on 20th August....

Guys, some friends in the UK got bumpers (pampers lol) with their unlocked Iphones shipment? Can anyone confirm this?

but its so dumb I can't use the phone it's not activated
until I get a new phone plan lol

Ordered iphone 4 black 16gb x2 from online at&t store last night.
had problem with credit card - CC company wanted to make sure card not stolen.
CC issue resolved this morning, and, I get this confirmation this afternoon:

Ship date Aug 19, 2010

Estimated delivery Aug 20, 2010 by 3:00 PM

Just got the notification email that mine's been shipped. Supposed arrival date is the 24th, the day before I arrive at the new apartment. At least it will be there waiting for me!

Ordered my 32gb iPhone on 12 August from apple.ca.
Original Ship date was 2 September.
As of today, status has gone from "not yet shipped" to "prepared for shipment". Hopefully should arrive by end of week.
