Who knows. It seems the line between Mac & PC for graphics has been blurred as of lately.

I don't know what this is down too but I can pretty much do whatever I want in OSX and still use photoshop without any slowdown. I can't say that for my Windows machines.

PC vs Mac Community

This is probably going off topic but for those willing to read, enjoy :)

A few posts made some references to the PC community vs the Mac one and I, being a PC user for the majority of my IT experience have to say that I am shocked and amazed (in a good way) at how much friendlier the Mac community is. A time ago I always had the impression that the majority of Mac users were elitist, snobs. How foolish I was.

I'm sure many will scoff at this being important, but until you see the difference it's hard to fully appreciate it. On the forums, people I've talked to in coffee shops and Apple stores (no not just the reps : P ) and others who are pro-Mac have been so much more hospitable and warm in comparison to the majority of the PC community (this includes Linux and Windows) I've encountered.

In short, I've noticed a significant difference in hospitality between PC and Mac communities, a surprising change that I never expected and look forward to making better as I grow more competent in everything Mac. :D

Yeah, it's no surprise that the Mac community is more pleasant. That's one observation I've made since the switch. We got it made:D

Not in 95% (a wild guess) of studios, it hasn't.

Only once in the last 10 years have I come across a Windows QuarkXpress user, whose life was blighted by dealing with cross-platform issues...

Mine was a wild guess as well. It just seems that Adobe no longer caters to just the Mac crowd. Of course, they are doing that to keep the profits rolling in.

They know they have us, it's Windows users they need to court. Of course, when they go too far and say something derogatory, we always raise an uproar. Mac users would dump most Adobe program in a a heartbeat if Apple came out with something half as good. Especially over using a PC, if that's what Adobe wanted us do. People have more allegiance to Apple that Adobe, and they know it. Of course, they always buy us flowers and tell us how sorry they are after they do something stupid, so we always take them back. They can change, they swear.
