I think like this and so many other threads people are quick to damn or dismiss a feature when it doesn't work as they would envision or just lack of understanding. So without any research they quickly load up a site to complain to the world. We can get into the most self entitled generation but that's a whole other ball of wax.

The API for this feature already exists I believe it's just a matter of app devs allowing it. Some will never, like banking institutions, but that's fine. I can still use it as a repository in safari settings to copy and paste it into apps and wallah.

1) Research?? I wrote it whilst travelling, and while (we all were) still discovering how this new feature works. I had a bad user experience, and felt the need to create the thread.

2) Writing this thread told me 2 things I didn't know at the time, a) that the APIs would be made available to the developers for their apps to integrate fully (in the future), and b) how to use Safari on your iOS device to uncover and copy passwords into your clipboard for use within the apps. By the looks of it, I'm not the only one who found some useful advice, I've since shown a number of people I work and socialise with, and they didn't know either...

3) Therefore, this thread was very worthwhile - I don't know what universe you live in, but this is EXACTLY the sort of thing forums were intended for! We can't all spend our entire lives 'researching' (and who knows, sometimes 'research' take you to forums like this in any case!!). I have a very busy family life and career to tend to, so forums are perfect for me. Basic stuff, yes, Google is invaluable - but I stand by my need to create this thread, think this is a fair reflection of what I experienced, and more important it helped me, and others, so therefore, what's your problem?

4) Every forum has it's 'thread Hitlers', looks like you're the MacRumors one... Where's the 'ignore' button again...

5) By the way, I think the word you were looking for was 'voila'. It's French. I suggest you look it up next time before posting incorrectly

Touche on the viola comment. I wrote this post as a result of seeing so many misinformed, and frankly whiney posts from folks that failed to understand the core concepts of a particular feature. The title of your post was leading into that direction.
