He’s great. I miss him in the Daily show. Although Trevor is also very talented.
You're free to not like him or hate his work or politics but calling him "washed up" is silly. He is still one of the biggest names in political satire and political comedy. This show could fail miserably and he would still be a big name for another 10 years just based on the work he did 20 years ago.Jon Stewart (not his real name) is a washed up has been. Can't believe Apple is going to get into bed with this weirdo. He's never been funny, articulate, or well informed, but he's got the snarky propagandist spiel down pat. Boo to this. Booooo.
I assumed it was one thought that would be completed each episode because Jon Stewart has a lot of problems (political issues) to overcome. It's self-effacing so he doesn't get accused of preaching.I love Jon Stewart, but the name sounds like the opening of a sentence of someone criticizing him "The problem with Jon Stewart is he's too..."
I am sure when said out loud there is a heavy pause though "The Problem... With Jon Stewart"
If Stewart has more control like he did in later Daily Show seasons, it will probably be more edgy because it will not have to go through a committee of writers and Comedy Central standards and practices staff. Preachy does not equate to bland in my mind at all.I thought Stewart‘s Daily Show start to get a bit preachy in it’s last couple of years, and he’s gotten worse since then. If this were Stewart around 2008, I’d be much more excited. But my suspicion is that this will be bland, inoffensive stuff from a once brazen and more edgy comedian. I’m still waiting for a reason to sign-up to Apple TV.
Given that this is basically the only reason he's a celebrity, um, yep.Yeah this is what people want.. celebrities opinions on current world issues.
Certainly intended. Just more self effacing on his part I'm sure.I love Jon Stewart, but the name sounds like the opening of a sentence of someone criticizing him "The problem with Jon Stewart is he's too..."

No, it’s MEANT to have a double-meaning.I love Jon Stewart, but the name sounds like the opening of a sentence of someone criticizing him "The problem with Jon Stewart is he's too..."

Not really. Last Week Tonight is more of a monologue.Which is kinda like The Daily Show, right?
He legally changed his name in 2001, so it IS his real name. But, good job on "outing" him. Now, why did you think that the fact that he changed his name was relevant? Hmmm...Jon Stewart (not his real name)
