The Real iChat/Photo Booth Hologram

Hi, i tried all of the methods of getting this to work and none of them did! Both the instructions included and putting it in my library/composition folder (both in the system one and the user one) and no luck! Any thoughts? Thanks
 
is there any chance that this will work with the non-leopard ichat?

(I can't locate 'Compositions' folder...)
 
telekid.... can you upload those early versions to mediafire.com or something other than a torrent because the torrent won't download

--i too am on a PPC G5 and i cannot use these... how are you doing so!? :confused:

yeah.. Im also on a ppc and would like to use the green screen features of photobooth, and couldnt get that torrrent to work.. Im not liking the lack of love for PPC apple!
 
I sorta posted this also in the other thread about the "invisible" one that was made.

I too have a PPC. First I only get two panes of effects, not four.

I added the files to the folder where the Apple ones are. Nothing.

Edited .plist, nothing.

Just wont work. So for those of you who did get it working on a PPC, do you have a developer build instead? If not, do you get all four effect screens to select from?

As mentioned I too tried to DL the torrent files, they are not downloading and what did was not much. I think getting a developer copy (pre-GM) maybe is the thing thats needed. Although they will not work in iChat anyway I guess...

This is awesome and any help would be great!

In theory, it might be possible to still have the George Washington and upside down effect too. I really need to get a "Green Screen" to make these effects look as good as they should be.
 
telekid can u please upload the ichat some other way. The torrent gets stuck at 12 % always. Maybe rapidshare or something? I really would like to have it.

I'm uploading it to rapidshare, should be done in a few.

Admin edit: Sorry guys, I don't think we should be distributing this on MacRumors. It comes from Apple's developer's distribution of Leopard, and for whatever reason Apple intentionally didn't distribute it with Leopard.
 
I removed the links/attachments of the hologram.qtz file.

Don't mean to spoil the party, but I don't think we should be distributing this file on MacRumors. While it does seem victimless enough, it's technically illegal since Apple has chosen not to distribute it outside of the developer dvds.

Completely legetimate. If the community wishes to contribute this via torrent, etc. I won't stop them, but I'm not going to argue with this either. I like MacRumors & would hate to see it get into trouble.

Yeah, it would be reallly great if the community could help us out with a torrent, in the same sense that it would it would be really great to have all the features we paid for.
 
If these are working so well, its a wonder why Apple didn't put them in the final build...crossing my fingers for them to come in 10.5.1 :)
