The rMPB BTO Shipping Thread

It's hard not to get mad, but I keep reminding myself that if I had to build my own rMBP, I would not be able to even if I had 10,000 years.
 
After being stuck in Memphis mine is now out for delivery in NYC today. Luckily my schedule is flexible so I can stay home to sign for it a whole day earlier than I expected. Now what I do while waiting....I guess I should probably straighten up the apartment....
 
STILL in shanghai? Since Friday....so much for shipping in 1-3 business days :p if it just sits around in the same location, it hasn't really shippped.

It finally updated to
"International shipment release - Import" and then to "In transit" today....though location still listed as Shanghai.

Delivery estimate still Thursday. we shall see FedEx, we shall see. :D

My delivery got bumped up. It was sitting in Memphis as of last night, and got a departure scan from Memphis at 3:41AM this morning. But the kicker is, the destination scan at Kansas City came at 4:50AM.

Google Maps says that's a good 7 hour drive, and a 2 hour flight. I can always count on FedEx to bend the laws of time and space. ;)

Originally scheduled for delivery 10/30, but it's on the vehicle for delivery today. :D

I'm in Kansas City and it went from being in Memphis to being on a truck out for delivery in less than 4 hours. Hopefully it arrives today as indicated.
 
The flight my rMBP was on finally left two hours late.

7:15 am
At destination sort facility
SAN DIEGO, CA
5:29 am
Departed FedEx location
MEMPHIS, TN

Unfortunately, I think it missed the cutoff to be delivered today :(
 
Mine is out for delivery even though the original delivery date is tomorrow. If it arrives today, it would not matter because I'm out of town until Thursday.

At least, I'm all set with my gear. Purchased sleeve, shell, time capsule, bought mini displayport to vga adapter instead of DVI so re-purchased today.

Hope everything is there by Thursday PM. Well, I have to pick up case at Apple store, so maybe I will get my bag.

Me too. Was supposed to come tomorrow by 4:30 (at work), but has already left the local facility (5 miles away) out for delivery. And it didn't leave Memphis until 1am PDT today. Can't wait!

Now it's "in transit" in ""sennan-shi" Japan. progress?
 
Absolutely nothing since the Export Scan Saturday night. ??? Just sitting there?

Hey guys, guess what I'm back. My first model had a yellow tint it's being returned. So I'm back again waiting. My new one arrives on the 6th of November - 8th of November.

UPS9 is descending into Warsaw right now. Based on previous threads I've read, it's a couple hour stop in Warsaw, then on to Cologne and overnight to London, for those of us in the UK. So with a bit of luck we should have 'em tomorrow.

Got mad excited when I saw the UPS van... until he drove past... I was outside at the time talking to a friend then noticed him turn at the bottom of the road.. and got excited again.. until he drove back past me. Epic trolling by UPS.

Gave them a ring and they said it was automatically marked as dispatched but would in fact be delivered tomorrow. One more day!
 
Tracking flights cracks me up for some reason. :)

My 2.6gz 15" is now in sennan-shi, jp. I ordered maybe an hour after announcement and I'm in Iowa. Expected delivery date is Thursday via FedEx.
 
Happy to say that my 13" 2.6/16/512, which I ordered before noon PDT last Tuesday, is on a FedEx truck for delivery. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Excuse my laziness in not finding the post, but someone on here had theirs delivered through the Kazahkstan/Cologne route and his arrived the day after it arrived in Cologne....there's hope yet ;)

Sorry to hear that, that sucks! I should definitely turn on my computer when I pick it up in store. Anything I should look at in particular before leaving to make sure all is Ok?

I'm with you guys finally! In Sennan, Japan, and in transit...hopefully there's no clearance delay upon import, as it is they are down to the wire to get it to my door in 48 hours. So glad it finally left Shanghai after sitting there since Friday.

The easiest way I found to notice the tint is to open system preferences and move the window from the top left to the bottom right and the top right to the bottom left. Watch the window as you move it and you will see a dramatic colour shift if there is any colour issues. The tint I had was very easy to see on light greys and whites but impossible to see on dark colours.

Top left of my display looks absolutely perfect. Whites are super white, it has a nice cool tone to it. Bottom right whites turn yellow and it looks much warmer.

But hey I'm happy with Apples way of dealing with things, they've already made me a new order before receiving my defective unit so I'm okay with it. :cool: 7-9 more days, I have patience.
