It's heartbreaking for sure. So many refuse to see things clearly and reasonably.

One thing we can all agree on.

Many love the American flag and proudly show it and cherish it.

Many hate the American flag and burn it while hiding their faces.

The reason so many people misunderstand so many issues is not that these issues are so complex, but that people do not want a factual or analytical explanation that leaves them emotionally unsatisfied. They want villains to hate and heroes to cheer - and they don't want explanations that do not give them that.

Jessica Chastain probably did not realize it but she gave the reason why Apple has delayed the shows release which is because of all the recent violence that has taken place in the US so far. we know what would happen if Apple released the show, many of the public would complain that Apple is being insensitive and disrespectful to those that have been affected by the recent violence that has take place because of the shows subject matter. Many of the public will then claim Apple is trying to financially capitalize on the recent events that have taken place in the country by releasing the show. Main stream media in the US and around the world would then start making negative news articles about Apple and it's timing of releasing the show.

Apple cannot win here, an actress wants the show released but Apple knows the negative PR backlash they will get from the public and the media if the were to release it now.

It sounds like Apple has a pretty easy way to win here.

I’m hopeful that people might soon stop thinking in terms of right vs left, and focus instead on extreme vs normal. There’s been far too much extremity this past 10 years. Calm rational folk rarely get heard over the noise.

This, absolutely.

The political spectrum is not a line with two distinct ends, it's more like a horseshoe. The two ends are very close, in practice, and there's not too much difference between a right wing radical and a left wing radical, they just use slightly different visual aids to promote their hate.

Putting all political and social nuances aside...I give no credence to what Jessica Chastain, or any performer or artist, has to opine about when it comes to political, social, or business matters.

Apple did what it believed was in its best interest; in this case, past events have been quite raw for American society, and Apple chose what was ethically and publicly best for itself.
